And the build quality and fit/finish of the new unibody Macbooks are still better than that of the ThinkPads.
I’ve been following every single article, video, or meme mentioning Google Glass since its first demo video a few months ago. Google promised a lot; Glasses were meant to be something like “an augmented brain.” It would offer contextual information, interactivity, quick reference, and much more. And now I feel betrayed. Why?
And ends with:
We all know that this is a really early prototype and are willing to see (and buy) something as revolutionary as the iPhone. In the end, the most intelligent move of the day was releasing the early version of the product only to developers (with a US$1,500 price tag), to gain the necessary feedback and try to get things working while surfing on the huge PR wave.
You just answered your own question.
I actually disagree with this first paragraph, I think Sony was right. The "race to the bottom" definitely did impact the industry, and for quite some time, no manufacturer even offered a laptop with decent build quality, except for Apple of course. People thought "why should I pay $1,000+ for this laptop when I can get a much cheaper laptop that will do everything I need?" And then the Macbook Air and the iPad come along and all of a sudden, people have no problem paying more for a quality product. If it wasn't for Apple, the OEMs would continue to release shitty machines until they all went bankrupt from negative profit margins.
I don't think the tablet market is experiencing the same race to the bottom because people are not buying these shitty tablets (which the Nexus 7 isn't). Everybody is still buying iPads and will continue to do so until a tablet that can actually compete with the iPad is released. (I have only seen two that even come close, the Galaxy and the Transformer, and still...) I think Apple has proven that consumers are willing to pay more if the product is good. And this is all coming from someone that does not own a single Apple product.
I understand where you're coming from, and I'm not denying the fact that Android offers a wider range of devices in different price ranges. I just don't like this concept that many people seem to have stuck in their heads: iPhone = expensive. Android = cheap. All of the high-end phones are expensive, and high-end phones are what we should compare when talking about Android vs iOS because they are in the same price range.
So yes, there most definitely are Android fans out there, but they are most likely using a high-end Android device and not one of the cheap handsets that you couldn't pay me to use.
Example: iPhone 4s 16gb AT&T - $150 subsidized HTC One X AT&T - $200 subsidized
Sure, there are cheaper Android phones, but there are also cheaper iPhones (3gs/4).
Believe it or not, there are real Android fans. I used to be one, not so much anymore. The carriers and manufacturers have ruined it with their delayed updates, bloatware, and modifications to the UI.
If Apple raised the iPhone screen to at least 4", I would consider getting one. If Microsoft released a WP7 device with good specs, I would get that. But at the moment, Android has the best balance of hardware and software.
You do realize that it is 27" with a 2560x1440 resolution and it uses an IPS panel, right? That doesn't come cheap. Dell's comparable monitor is only $100 cheaper: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us...
Of course, I would rather get the Dell, but the Apple display isn't really over-priced.
I wish I applied this in my life more often.
"Google and Apple teams are total cunts. Fuck em, and their hipster bullshit."
Followed by:
"I like Google as a whole, but they hire too many wanna-be-devs. And their SC2 team can suck a big herpes-infested cock. FUCK THEM."
Hard to take this AMA seriously.
As for calling you liar, I apologize. Next time I will just use the flag button. Thanks.
Looks like a post straight from reddit.
And anytime I upgrade hardware or even want to move my install to another computer, the activation is so fast and easy. I don't see how anyone could make the claim that pirating Windows is easier than installing a legitimate copy.
Do you have any sources for that?
I'm a musician and I have a few "audiophile" friends that say they can tell the difference, but when we conducted a blind test, they were basically just guessing.
I am not saying it's impossible, but there aren't many people that can hear the difference, I know I can't. Even with my Grado cans.
-Bigger screen
-LTE 4G
-Tons of different ROMs available
-More customization options
-I prefer the Android interface
It all comes down to your needs. The screen size alone takes the iPhone out of consideration for me.
Now, if you grind the mushrooms up and let them site in lemon juice for 30+ minutes. That will definitely accelerate the time you reach the peak of the trip. The acids in the lemon juice break down the mushrooms so the stomach can digest them more quickly.
