machinemob··on Techcrunch Blocks the Back Button
That's MY button not theirs.
machinemob··on Ask HN: What music helps you code better?
Nordic Death Metal
machinemob··on Ask HN: What are your hobbies?
Ham Radio - I like CW ("Continuous Wave" which usually employs an on/off keyer and Morse Code), QRP (seeing how far away you can reach someone with minimum possible power) and modern digital mesh networks like APRS and AREDN

Guitar - I have a nylon string (acoustic, Flamenco style with low action) and like to play Bossa Nova and Jazz

Exploring - anything and anywhere new

machinemob··on Ask HN: Why would you choose Rust over Go or Node?
What is the company line that you're referring to that Rob Pike contradicts?
machinemob··on Ask HN: Those making over $300k/year, how did you achieve it?
tcrow what are some real-world examples of "consulting agencies?" I'm a technologist but examples in any industry would give me a feeling for what kind of company you're referring to. Thanks in advance.
machinemob··on Ask HN: What tech stack would you choose for a serious, long-term business app
bballer start with requirements and then evaluate tools/stacks based on that. Your requirements will help guide your research of what's out there and is best for the job.

All technical disciplines use this approach including ours.

While it seems helpful and fun to see what other people are using, you'll come to find that it's just a salad of product names and marketing gibberish. ;)

Trust your process.

machinemob··on Ask HN: As a web developer, do I have to know what Docker and Kubernetes are?
In the amount of time it took for you to write this question and parse the subsequent opinions, rants and religious arguments, you could have followed a basic Docker tutorial, written a simple Dockerfile and answered the more important questions: Is this useful to me? Can I be more productive with these tools?

:)

machinemob··on Show HN: ProcessMaker.IO is a workflow engine in the cloud. Need candid feedback
OT: Hi trevvr, I'm curious to know why cloud is out of the question for you. Is it a matter of security or other? I'm a cloud guy (for lack of a better term) and trying to understand use-cases when cloud is not a sensible option. Thanks in advance for any insight.
machinemob··on Ask HN: Is coding like speaking another language?
I actually agree with your simulacrum. I also agree with others that code has more in common with a cake recipe than Pride and Prejudice ;-)

The above said, language is language whether you're struggling to control a state-machine, baking vegan cookies or ordering lunch in Paris. It's difficult, it takes time to learn and delivers the same rewards all around.

Cheers
