lynndylanhurley··on Some trivial examples of using Clojure Transducers
Man I love Clojure. So happy to see it on the front page these past few days.
lynndylanhurley··on ClojureScript development environment with Vim
Wow this is great!!! This is exactly the guide that I've been looking for. Thanks!!!
lynndylanhurley··on How to Wire Up Ruby on Rails and AngularJS as a Single-Page Application
I've been using a similar setup for some time now. The most significant obstacle for me was user authentication. For anyone else who needs to add auth support to Angular + Rails:

Ahh thanks!!! blush
lynndylanhurley··on Show HN: Secure token authentication for Angular.js and Rails
Thanks! I will be launching an example application within the next day or so. I'll post a link in the readme once it's live.
lynndylanhurley··on Show HN: Secure token authentication for Angular.js and Rails
This is all great advice. I've added these items to the issue tracker, and I am going to implement them right away.

Some questions that I have:

Is the documentation clear?

Is there anything that I can do to further simplify anything?

Are the security measures too aggressive? Not aggressive enough?

This isn't about a vague ideology (re: Eich). It's about ACTIONS that Condoleezza Rice, personally, has taken in the past, and using those actions to predict what she will probably do in the future. She has shown us, with her actions, that she cannot be trusted with sensitive data.

This idea is taken from "Stars In My Pocket Like Grains of Sand" by Samuel Delaney.

lynndylanhurley··on YouCompleteMe - A code-completion engine for Vim
I agree. I've used both AutoComplPop and NeoComplCache extensively (1-2 years each) and YCM is superior to both in terms of speed. NeoComplCache has great completion ability, but it lacks fuzzy matching, and the configuration was a total rat's nest. I've been using YCM for like 2 months and I haven't looked back.
lynndylanhurley··on YouCompleteMe - A code-completion engine for Vim
Yeah I don't get it - I had zero issues with installation (and I usually find a way to screw everything up). Can you post your YouCompleteMe install block for NeoBundle?
lynndylanhurley··on YouCompleteMe - A code-completion engine for Vim
Are you familiar with NeoBundle? It's mostly a drop-in replacement for Vundle, but it has support for post-installation hooks. This could potentially make it a one-step install (assuming NeoBundle was already installed).

For example, here is the install snippet from vimproc, which also requires compiling: https://gist.github.com/lynndylanhurley/5951180.

lynndylanhurley··on Sublime Text 3 Public Beta
The 25% claim sounds a little weird - what are some features that sublime has that vim doesn't have?

lynndylanhurley··on SVG, Use it Already
It should be working. I would really appreciate any advice you might have - can you please check again?
lynndylanhurley··on SVG, Use it Already
I just made this with SVG: http://ex1.lynndylanhurley.com/timeline

It runs really great in Chrome + Safari, but Firefox performance is awful.

*edit: grammar

lynndylanhurley··on Vim-powerline: The ultimate vim statusline utility
I've been using this all morning - it's really incredible.
lynndylanhurley··on What is in your .vimrc
Well then you have to extend the argument to plugins as well, and certain plugins (SnipMate, AutoComplPop, Fugitive, etc.) can increase productivity by several orders of magnitude.

It's best to store your .vimrc + .vim/ folder on GitHub or a thumb-drive for easy restoration rather than crippling yourself with a limited configuration. Someone else mentioned Homesick (https://github.com/technicalpickles/homesick) which works really well.
