lyfeninja··on Understanding Runtime Governance for Enterprise AI Deployment
As someone building in this space I would say adoption is slow, but interest is growing. We have no regulation in the US so it's hard to convince companies this is something they need to spend money on right now, especially when their mostly still struggling to define the ROI on their AI ambitions to begin with.

That said, the more the frontier models hack external systems and once the lawsuits start flowing the tune will almost certainly change. At least that's what I'm hoping :)

lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Co-Founder(s). Do I need any? How would I even find them?
As a solo founder in the thick of it right now, I would consider it.

Given your constraints (fulltime job, side gigs, family) it could help balance the workload, and if you find the right one, maybe offload things you don't like or aren't good at. Not to mention the comradery component and having someone to go through the difficult times with you.

I'd find the ying to your yang, so if you the technologist, find someone good at business, sales, marketing, product, etc. That's my two cents.

lyfeninja··on Ask HN: How to recover Google auth after phone stolen?
If you have another device that is logged in, you can get a code from that one to log into your account on your new phone or other device. It is an option but it's kind of buried. There's a special link you go to.
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: How to recover Google auth after phone stolen?
I lost my phone, and slacks recovery model is essentially like this.
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (September 2026)
Trying to keep this god damn start up from running out of money...
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: How do people keep track of organizational knowledge?
Isn't that the purpose of wikis? Not saying they work all that great but I think that's the goal.

I do like the idea of having a live editable wiki as the knowledge base a LLM can reference.

lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Do you say please and thank you to your LLMs?
I do, just in case the robots take over :p
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: What Did You Work On? (June 2026)
Thanks, I appreciate it!

Just soft launched BlkSeal, a modern content integrity platform.

It lets people, apps, and AI agents sign any digital content so anyone can verify it hasn't been modified after it was created. Think provenance and tamper detection, but with a different trust model than traditional digital signatures, including native revocation. The underlying tech is actually very cool.

Just put it out there, so now I'm in the fun/scary phase of seeing if anyone besides me actually wants it. Either way, I've learned a ton building it, and it's been one of the most rewarding side projects I've ever turned into a startup.

lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Why are so many "AI evangelists" posting such insufferable content?
Fake it til you make it baby!

They're just jumping on the hype train but can you really blame them? They've been hearing about how their job will be replaced, how they need to upskill with AI, and they see everyone else doing it. Many probably have no real skills so they're just trying to survive.

lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Has anyone had success with SBIR grants and what is the process like?
All good advice, thank you everyone who's contributes so far!
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Has anyone had success with SBIR grants and what is the process like?
This is exactly the type of insight I'm looking for. Thanks!
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Do you remember when you gained consciousness? What was it like?
My first memory was meeting my parents for the first time when I was around two (I'm adopted). I don't remember anything before it, probably for the better.
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: A Brief History of LLMs
Below is the "Attention is all you need" paper. Transformers and their attention mechanism was the major breakthrough for modern LLMs. ML has been around for a long time, I'd suggest joining kaggle or something and learn by doing. You'll retain more and realize how broad the category is anymore.

lyfeninja··on Ask HN: What's the hardest problem you've ever solved?
The problem I'm currently trying to solve, building a business around a novel data protection mechanism using ML based encoding while continuing to do research on it.
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Best worldwide / classic phone games?
Snake, obviously...if you're under 30 you probably don't know what I'm talking about
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: When did computers stop being fun?
When they started telling me everything I say is a great idea...
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (May 2026)
Production service for digital content attestation and verification utilizing bespoke neural encoding models. Will be looking for beta testers soon. Reach out if you're interested!

lyfeninja··on Ask HN: We just had an actual UUID v4 collision...
Although incredibly rare, it's not impossible so probably best to just plan for collisions. A simply retry should suffice. But I agree I feel like something is going on somewhere else ...
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Why are companies so distrustful of remote employees?
One bad apple lol
lyfeninja··on Hey, it's Earth Day today
Agreed. Maybe let's stop trying to set the world on fire so we can have AI generated cat videos. Just doesn't seem worth it...
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Would you use revocable digital signatures to verify AI/Other content?
Thanks. I will definitely keep this in mind.
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Building a solo business is impossible?
Hang in there. It does take longer than you think and it's a marathon with a lot of peaks and valleys.

You do need a market, not just a product. You also need to network to get input, partners, and build a BD pipeline. You don't necessarily need revenue at first, you need to prove external interest, whether that's a beta, pilot, or collaboration/partnership. All these things will add to your momentum.

lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Who is using OpenClaw?
I see a lot of the same. I do know a couple people who do use it and I asked their take and it was kind of "meh".

I'm letting it mature a little before dipping my toe in. I've seem some horror stories, like it deleting repos, system files, and whatnot.

lyfeninja··on Ask HN: What standards or protocols exist for AI Agent permissions
Wow truly surprised by the lack of comments here. I just assumed there would be something I didn't know about.
lyfeninja··on Ask HN: Who needs contributors?
Project name: BlkBolt Project description: Experimental ML-based data encoding system. No keys, no traditional crypto primitives, just learned unique representations. Early stage and looking for collaboration.

This month: Design and market research on "know your agent" products

Skills: ML, crypto, security folks for independent validation stress testing and just general support. Would love someone to try and forge or break our signatures.

Real-time AI content attestation and verification with Revocable signatures. Actually posted on "Show HN" today.

Write up and demo here: https://lyfe.ninja/news/#know-your-agent-with-blkbolt

lyfeninja··on Show HN: AI Content Attestation & Verification w/ Revocable Signatures
True, this demo does not verify the agent or it's owner, but that's not necessarily what it was intended for (hence the "our take" part). We would view this as an additional trust layer (although a big one we'd argue) in a "know your agent" product. It was mostly intended to show how you can prove an agent of yours created the content seen on a users screen, verify it's integrity, and have this all work in a streaming system.
lyfeninja··on Show HN: AI Content Attestation & Verification w/ Revocable Signatures
Thanks, we think so too, we're not aware of anything doing this currently but please share if you know of anything.

By false positives, I'm assuming you mean, two separate LLMs/agents output and sign the exact same content (e.g. hello world!).

These are not traditional signatures and can have metadata encoded into them (the demo only encodes lease ID, create timestamp). So you could rely on the metadata during verification for provenance (which one came first). The demo has a separate link to additional information about the signatures.

P.S. this is just a demo to demonstrate this in a real-time streaming scenario (mostly for a prospect). But we'd love to hear if anyone thinks this could be useful as a product of its own.

lyfeninja··on Ask HN: How do you handle marketing as a solo technical founder?
In a similar situation and I understand where you're coming from. Although I have not taken on a Marketing co-founder, I have had a number of important and revealing conversations that I've learned a lot from.

1. Make sure the market for your product exists before you make it. This is counterintuitive to builders like myself and probably you. building is what I'm good at, and I know what I'm making adds value, but that doesn't mean others will see that value.

2. Kinda goes with #1, but talk to as many people as possible in the market you are considering a product for and learn what their problems and pain points are so you can solve them. If you can relieve someone's pain, the marketing will do itself. It's hard to even get the conversations, but each one is helpful, even if it's telling you something you don't want to hear.

3. Focus on gaining external interest, not necessarily revenue. Again, hard, but a pilot or partnership with another startup or small business can go along way and showing value to future investors or customers.

4. Talk to and learn from other founders. Your already doing this, but there are nuggets of information that can help even if it's just a slight change of perspective.

5. Keep your head up. It's a slog and it's brutal, but it's a marathon.

I'm still working on all these things myself, so you're not alone. The realization that a good product without a market is nothing, was a big revelation for me (and in hindsight makes me feel like an idiot). I honestly thought if you solve a hard enough problem or built a good enough product that the rest would fall in line, but that was not the case, but I'm not ready to give up yet.
