lwyrup··on Show HN: FablePool – pool money behind a prompt, and Fable builds it in public
All computation abides by the same laws of getting sh*t done. Ask Mr. Amdahl. It starts with plebs (AI or otherwise) getting paid low wages.
lwyrup··on Statement on US government directive to suspend access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5
Doubtful. Fable 5 is insanely good it’ll sell itself. No need for unscrupulous advertising tactics.

What is a “foreign national” is more what I’m wondering. Like is it a “Non-US Citizen”? Do US citizens abroad count?

lwyrup··on I Am Not a Reverse Centaur
So I am thinking this is like an army of plebs going to Home Depot, buying power tools, and building a house with no experience. Oh what fun—we can finally build a house the barrier has been broken.

I don’t want software written by plebs.

lwyrup··on Software is made between commits
I think they’re mostly considering AI agents. It’s an interesting idea (that I’ve seen before). Everyone trying to reinvent for AI which is fun!

But I am skeptical because just create a text file and put a reference to the commit.

Also, why not just use Fossil? It already lets you bundle whatever in there since it’s an SQLite database. It has all kinds of things built in that can reference commits.

I don’t know, if the design itself is copyrighted you could argue that the AI is just a bunch of hired workers that built it for extremely low wages.

If I hired a bunch of people to build me a house, and I drafted the architectural plans with the help of a paid architect, neither the architect nor the builders have ownership over the home.

So if a collection of people design something together maybe that has merit, they collectively paid for Anthropic to build it for them…
