luminousmen··on Seniority in Software Engineering
After all, business wants to make money and solve their problems. And the more independent and effective you can do it, the higher your role will be. Businesses can be different and the roles have different requirements as well.

And the top skill of the engineer is not the list of known programming languages, not the ability to close tasks, not knowledge of the bazillion algorithms, not certificates of the scrum master. Namely, the ability to take a real problem and solve it yourself is the main skill of a professional. Solve it yourself does not mean alone. By yourself means to be able to find the necessary resources, people, set tasks, control the result and bear responsibility for this.

"callbacks swallow exceptions" - I guess you're right, but I'm talking not only about JS implementation here. I'll delete it to generalize

"callback after callback gets confusing and hard to debug" - I think it is true even for mature developers

A must: Code Simplicity by Max Kanat-Alexander https://www.amazon.com/Code-Simplicity-Fundamentals-Max-Kana...

luminousmen··on Python Interview Questions – Senior
Of course it is, I think developer's paths are different and these questions are for MY expectations from the candidate. I know that they are not easy, and of course, I do not expect from candidate to answer all of them. But I'm sure if you don't know your tools(Python just a tool, favorite tool, but tool anyway) then you can't call yourself a senior
