luisrudge··on Why React/Redux is inferior as a paradigm
Also that!
luisrudge··on Why React/Redux is inferior as a paradigm

luisrudge··on Why React/Redux is inferior as a paradigm
Keep in mind that english is not the author's native language.
luisrudge··on Next Generation Eclipse IDE
really? che? as in che guevara? The executioner / mass murderer?
luisrudge··on Must-See JavaScript Dev Tools
atom + plugins, not just atom. Same with vs code. If we count plugins, emacs and vim are both ide's as well.
luisrudge··on Must-See JavaScript Dev Tools
Visual Studio Code is not an IDE. It's just a bad named Editor
luisrudge··on Node.js running in the new Airbus A350 inflight servers

luisrudge··on Introducing the Shift Card: Use Bitcoin where Visa is accepted
Someone please change the title to Anywhere IN US :)
luisrudge··on Confidant: an open-source secret management service
That's very nice. If you're using Microsoft Azure though, you might as well use Azure Key Vault[0].

luisrudge··on Show HN: A new general-purpose API solving common and complex problems
Damn... This is A W E S O M E! Congratz to the team! Feedback: It should be easier to change between apis. Doing this using <select> is terrible for the user. It really should be a sidebar or something like this.
luisrudge··on Alive v1.0 – Live Programming for C#
I find the `for` example really bad. Mainly because 99% of the apps (I totally made up that number) are NOTHING like that.

You usually are using DI, so you'll have an interface that you need to resolve and do stuff.

How is alive going to deal with that?

luisrudge··on CodePush by Microsoft – update your React Native and Cordova apps instantly
Freaking awesome.

luisrudge··on New York City's MTA Exposed (2005) [pdf]
MTA cards are terrible. So is MTA's customer service. I lost $60 (2 7-Day Unlimited cards) because the two cards were demagnetized. They weren't next to each other, but both were kept close to cellphones. I went to the MTA booth and they staff said to mail the cards so I can get a refund. This may work for NYC residents, but foreign tourists will never see that money again. The card and system is so bad, that one may actually think they want this to be bad so they can profit more.
luisrudge··on Windows 10 Review
yes you can. Maybe he/she is talking about the same window instance?
luisrudge··on Elemental UI for React.js
There's another UI kit for React called Belle, I posted here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10110956
luisrudge··on ReactCSS – Bringing Classes to Inline Styles
here's a great video about inlining css with react.

luisrudge··on Docker and Microsoft announce more innovation to cross platforms and win hearts
You're wrong. They don't care if you run Windows or Linux. They want you to run it on Azure.
luisrudge··on Node.js Tools 1.0 on GitHub and VMs Available
This is awesome! Congratz on the release! I just watched the video on the home page and I'm really impressed. I'll take a serious look in it! Thanks!
luisrudge··on Amazon Finally Discloses Cloud Services Sales, Showing 49% Jump
ON the other hand, Azure's PaaS offerings are way better than AWS's. No surprise there, since Azure started with PaaS and AWS started with IaaS.
luisrudge··on Scaleway: Bare metal SSD ARM servers
now you just need to enable paypal
luisrudge··on The Windows Driver Frameworks are on GitHub
You're kidding, right? Where is the source code for java compiler and jvm stuff? Can you send a pull request? Can you see the commits? Can you see design meetings about the language? Java is not more open than .NET in any way.
luisrudge··on Io.js is one step closer to ARM64
what that brings to the table?

luisrudge··on Scrawl – A modern, cross-platform C#, VB.NET and JavaScript IDE
Yes. I don't see any reason why not.
luisrudge··on Scrawl – A modern, cross-platform C#, VB.NET and JavaScript IDE
alpha bits will be released in the following weeks I believe
luisrudge··on Scrawl – A modern, cross-platform C#, VB.NET and JavaScript IDE
Neither free nor open source. Does it matter? This is not a text editor. This could be THE best non-bloated IDE. The price seems pretty reasonable to me. Bought it already!
luisrudge··on Show HN: MUI – Lightweight Material Design CSS Framework
What? No github repo?
luisrudge··on React.js in Real Life at Codecademy
As a matter of fact, I created a really simple react yeoman generator[0]. All other generators are pretty bloated with lots of stuff. Maybe that's ok for new applications, but I was just trying to learn react and they all were heavily bloated.
