luislezcair··on AMD Ryzen 7000 Burning Out: Impacts all 7000 processors
Sorry about the OT but I would love to hear your experience with your build since I'm going to build a very similar one: AMD Ryzen 7k with DDR5 and the exact same mobo. My mail is in my profile

I've never heard of QVL before and this comes in great because I want to build a PC. I've been a laptop user for many years.

I also noticed this delay in mouse movement but I couldn't find anything online or even people noticing the same problem.

For me it happens in the second monitor (120Hz with HDMI) there's a lag in the cursor movement. When I switch to X11 that lag is gone and the movement feels more fluid. The strange thing is that I don't see that effect on the laptop screen (144Hz). I'm using Plasma btw

luislezcair··on Ask HN: Best Command-Line Applications?
I use `ack` (https://beyondgrep.com/) as a replacement for `grep`. It is simpler, faster, it has colors by default and it's really fast and very useful for programming.

I'm also interested in using it for a Rails application. Does it work well with the payed version?
luislezcair··on Argentina’s government is wooing entrepreneurs with a new law
Buenos Aires has cheap electricity. My electric bill is around >2K pesos in summer (I'm from the north of Argentina). I agree with taking out subsidies where the electricity is cheap, but they removed them for everybody from one day to another. There are too many cases of small business with unafordable gas & electric bills.
luislezcair··on Argentina’s government is wooing entrepreneurs with a new law
On Monday they issued 100-year bonds that yield nearly 8% of interest. Huge public debt, desindustrialization of the economy and capitals flowing out of the country are some of the causes that led to the Corralito. This is history repeating itself.

Bus this new law is certainly good news.
