But is there really any isolation if it's installed on your host os? I always thought Nix was primarily a package management tool. Like brew?
Docker isolation is different.
Your landing page is not perfect aesthetically. It makes it feel genuine and that's what convinced me to try your product.
You have a great page and product. I'm jealous of your project. Please continue what you're doing!
I am really interested in building custom systems to experiment with plants. My problem is that I don't know what to test.
You can use the same plastics as in water pipes.
Progressive JPEG is already supported but JPEG XL seems much better.
First time I hear about JPEG XL. I have experimented with progressive JPEG a couple of years ago but switched to webp since the various public Google page scores give a better score for images in webp.
Remote SSH works. Local devcontainer works. But mixing the two requires configuring the docker engine settings to point to the remote. This forces other projects to also run on the remote machine.
This was a problem as of 2 months ago.
On OSX I only had problems with GUI running in docker. I was used to sharing X between linux host and docker container also running linux.
For some projects, the only working solution I found was to run a VNC server in docker. Specific example: in a docker container, run a GUI built with Kivy and view the window on the OSX host. If anyone manages to do this without VNC, I'd like to know how!
Super easy for new team members to get started on a project. No need to manually install dependencies.
Environment versioning in git and docker. Your local environment gets automatically updated with a git pull.
For which the models are available online. No need to train in this case.
If this was a new project and you were starting from scratch but already had a clean dataset, 0.5 to 3 days of work (excluding training time).
The model is a VAE so I would approximate less than 2 days of training time on a modern GPU.
An other way is to get in touch with your contacts working in companies that have problems you can solve.
I disagree with you when you say problem is the 0 to POC/MVP (excluding sales). I think that is the easiest and most fun part of a project. The hardest is 0 to first line of code.
When you complete part of the POC/MVP and it seems to be working, clients understand what you are worth.
In my experience, after the POC, managers had no problem boosting the budget because you've proven you can do the job and there is low risk in giving you more work and freedom to continue adding features.
I might have been lucky to get along really nicely with all of my clients yet.
Finding the initial problem is the hardest for me. All of my contracts were from previous contacts and someone knowing someone...
If anyone has it the other way around, I'd love to learn more.
Is this common?
Anyone has tips to reduce time required to simplify?
He experiments with led and has detailed information on LED and plants.
He has a patent for growing smaller plants, by lighting with blue light on the stem.
I would like to be able to let my clients start jobs and use their private cluster and append their machines to it, running in my cluster.
Is there a way to do this with kubernetes currently?
During the last 3 months, when my stocks are red, Bitcoin is green.
