lofaszvanitt··on OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra on ARC-AGI-3
Nice, but what about pelicans? No proper pelican means it's sitting on a horse with only a half arse :D.
lofaszvanitt··on OpenAI begins rolling out GPT-6 Astra
1000 loc of script, why even leave it there for the night? were there rocket trajectory calculations??? I don't think so. should be ready in 5 mins tops. why people make their own lives harder?

You should have some basic context file about software practices you prefer, otherwise it gets bloated.

lofaszvanitt··on Google Antigravity TOS: 3rd party usage can get Google account suspended
Smaller :)
lofaszvanitt··on Google Antigravity TOS: 3rd party usage can get Google account suspended
Just google things. If you buy a monthly package, you pay next day, let's say on the 15th. Then they again pull the monthly amount on the 6th of next month. They pocket your money and the moment you have any issues, well, go F yourself. Everything is automated. They shove your arse out from any service they deem redundant or useless. They zero your data without recourse.

GOOG is like a soulless, flesh eating antihuman robot, junkie monopoly-behemoth. Terrible UI/UX, very good models, braindead execution. Protected entity, just like NVDA.

Btw Antigravity is the worst of all environments. No money for the braindead. Well, bring your money elsewhere, to small joes instead.

lofaszvanitt··on Biggest dark matter detector spots a single weird particle
Hm, they have 7 tonnes of Xenon. Events detected all around in the matter, but the PMTs can localise where the event happened. So they can virtually segment parts of the detector where they are sure all the outside effects are understood and taken care of.
lofaszvanitt··on AI Coding Agent Skills for Real Engineers
Matt Pocock really needs an AI sidekick that tells him what to do and what not to do. And give the AI the ability to electrocute him whenever he tries to overcomplicate things. Of course the device has to be around his groin area.
lofaszvanitt··on Apple reveals 'shocking evidence' from ex-employee's MacBook in OpenAI suit
So how come mango flavoured Pepsi is nowhere to be found? They get you hooked on a good flavour, and then, bam, they take it away.
lofaszvanitt··on Google Has Removed MV2 Extensions from the Chrome Web Store, Including UBO
I don't get it why don't they include it in a separate fork in Chromium..... problem solved.
lofaszvanitt··on Memo to Ridley Scott: no one needs more Alien: Covenant movies
It's a money manking franchise. It could be good, since Prometheus was quite ok. Although Covenant was trashy.

Alien and Aliens were good. Alien 3 and Resurrection was abysmal and the Alien Earth seies had 2 good episodes. The rest were meh.

lofaszvanitt··on The internet is kind of a predatory cesspit now
Good luck nurturing a garden, when every day someone tears down a tree inside or robs you of the fruits.
lofaszvanitt··on Show HN: Sesame - a local-first, open-source password manager
When will we read an article about how to pwn pw-managers. How to hook clipboard and the like and steal everything inside.
lofaszvanitt··on The Loss of Changelogs
Just the usual symptoms of a profession which was never regulated properly, compared to an engineering profession. So anyone could drag it around however they please. Look this shiny thing I made, this is much better than the competing not so shiny things we use daily. You are a peasant not using the most shiny thing on planet earth, this is the new epoch.

Do we need this? Nah. Do we need this horrible abstraction over a zero complexity thing? Suuuure.

And this will lead to horrible issues later on. This is just another symptom.

lofaszvanitt··on HTTPX2 – A next-generation HTTP client for Python
Thx!
lofaszvanitt··on HTTPX2 – A next-generation HTTP client for Python
And why don't people use pycurl? Curl is the king of the hill...
lofaszvanitt··on Inception-style curved map for turn-by-turn directions
Finally something new and shiny. Looks promising.
lofaszvanitt··on Nitter and XCancel receive cease and desist notices
My problem is. People do not even use their brains no more. Just copy that someone else made. They are essentially stealing, like mindless zombies. Why do we even have AI if people are at such low level mental capacity?
lofaszvanitt··on Nvidia agrees to acquire Hugging Face for $13B
Open source models are only there so the closed ones wouldn't be attacked from every angle.
lofaszvanitt··on Nitter and XCancel receive cease and desist notices
There is no bait. I just pointed out that instead of creating something new and unique, they copy something and add nothing......
lofaszvanitt··on Nitter and XCancel receive cease and desist notices
All of these are seriously bad copycat alternatives of twitter. And since twitter's foundations are laid on moving bedrock.... the whole thing is a horrible abomination where the tendrils are these "alternatives".
lofaszvanitt··on Nitter and XCancel receive cease and desist notices
Gabe Newell said it eloquently about gaming piracy that it is a service problem not a money issue.

Twitter has a UI/UX issue, and instead of fixing the clusterfuck, they decide to nuke sane alternatives. Maybe they live off of people's pain, and without that they can't function.

Interesting times we live in.

lofaszvanitt··on How Europe is killing makers and micro-entrepreneurs
Nope, read the legislation paper... its like a few hundred pages :D.
lofaszvanitt··on How Europe is killing makers and micro-entrepreneurs
The legislation doesnt apply to small joes..... stop disseminating total hogwash, especially if you don't have any idea what you are talking about.
lofaszvanitt··on New Worlds: We are living in the future of J.G. Ballard or William Gibson
Nah, I wasn't talking about WG and his quote.
lofaszvanitt··on Radiation damage to Hubble has been 4.3 years out of phase with the Solar cycle
photoshop ;D, or using multiple pictures
lofaszvanitt··on New Worlds: We are living in the future of J.G. Ballard or William Gibson
It's more like a deliberate, manufactured future by the bigdiks that slowly takes place in certain countries.
lofaszvanitt··on CIA funding helped keep NeXT afloat in the 80s
Coffee and Tea is the mind control drug.
lofaszvanitt··on Show HN: Huzzah – a novel approach to coding with AI
This isn't a rant, this is an observation or conclusion. I'm amused how clueless people really are. I mean, it's mind boggling how vast the desert of the emptymindedness is in this forum.

My solution? I'm waiting for someone to make it, since I'm lazy... until then that's my secret.

lofaszvanitt··on Aaron Swartz was prosecuted for scraping, while Meta does it without consequence
And that warrants a 7-8 years sentence, without a plea? Maybe in a police state.
lofaszvanitt··on Nearly 1,400 live streams from Japan
Waaah, I just love the Japanese obelisk architecture and the special lighting they have in Tokyo.
lofaszvanitt··on The Citizen Developer
