Had a "oh shit" moment reading the article. I live in Germany, and of course buy groceries. The "discount" games seem very obvious now. Food expenses have risen very significantly recently.

Great article, I hope this gains more traction and or legal ramifications for the grocers.

You have to keep prices in relation to salary and other CoL expenses. Europe in general has lower salaries than the US, this is true of Germany and especially Austria. For me 4.59 for erdnüssen is too high for my kart.

I hate click-bate titles just as much as the next guy, but in this case it is warranted. The article said the injured was in critical condition. In general getting this person to proper care in Hospital _faster_ could have had a better outcome.

Regardless, I don't think Cruise is roadworthy until they are able to clear the way for EMS. Maybe the cars don't need to be manually overridden in such case, at least initially, but even if they can maneuver to the side of the road that would be enough.

I think he is commenting on the obvious fact that politicians do not like to blame themselves for the problems they create. It looks bad and is bad for polls.

That is completely untrue. Agricultural labs for instance research plant viruses which are _incompatible_ with humans completely. Still these plant virus would have to be researched under stringent isolation because of the damage they may pose to crops.
