Are there any solutions that can account for noise on a varied schedule?
The system is anonymous exactly because people like the one you're replying to are willing to help provide the biological material and nothing more. Requiring communication with a person that, beyond DNA, is a complete wildcard seems like a steep barrier to donation that would significantly decline overall donations.

In the event that the actual owner of the car left their fob at their previous stop and discovers this fact 40 miles down the highway later, if the car were to stop, the driver is now stranded with a car that won't start. As it is now, as long as there is enough gas in the tank, the owner can just drive back and get it.
Hate to see that opportunity removed as an option.

EDIT: I don't know how I forgot about pinch to zoom via the trackpad. While my original question did start me down an interesting rabbit hole of touchscreen MacOS, I 100% agree that a lack of smooth pinch to zoom via the trackpad detracts from the overall user experience.
