For 1-2 years now strictly IT companies are on Copilot, non strictly IT companies on autopilot, and in neither case there are any pilots. Hopefully the default installation and configuration of everything will solve all your problems because there is nothing else.

Every time I participated in corporate business calls I wondered "where these people take all these sentences and words from?". Now I know, they were computers.

It will take world 30 years to recuperate from the last 5 years, assuming things will start improving from now on.
lifestyleguru··on 'Jonathan' is the oldest land animal on Earth
> It’s more like US people look at a couple 100yo buildings and say stuff like “wow this place has a lot of history!”

You are overgeneralizing. In much of Europe plenty of architecture was erected after 1945, and most of architecture around and after 1900.

lifestyleguru··on Why were Victorian elites so effective?
Why beat someone where some negative consequences are likely to follow, if the same person can give you immunity to infinitely beat and extort large group of people only for your pleasure and at your whim? This is called society.
lifestyleguru··on A sustainable web career, for when all this blows over

Job is a job. There are few reasons a new technology would change employment for better, and also quite some reasons it could change being employed for worse.

> attract people who want to work on cool stuff and do difficult or impossible things just because they’re hard or fun

Then make them work on fixing the healthcare. NASA is using its budget to keep 25 MiG-21 ariplanes fly worthy? It doesn't make any sense.

lifestyleguru··on September 2026: The world today, as seen by one Polish guy
Thus, perhaps, none are worth living in?

Maybe it doesn't matter how livable or beautiful Paris, Barcelona, Zurich, Stockholm, Sardinia, or whichever is, if you are never going to get roof over your head there.

In 2016 I spoke with an Ukrainian in Germany. He was saying the war is in the easternmost regions, he's safe because he's from Kiev area. That's how war works, uninformed civilian never believes it's coming.

Where, in Italy in 1930s? Football hooliganism and organized crime though, yes.
lifestyleguru··on September 2026: The world today, as seen by one Polish guy
Medical professionals in Poland overworked and underpaid? Doctors work simultaneously in multiple places with no obligation to be physically present at any, their salaries have been for few years now at Swiss and US levels. Yes salaries of high hundreds thousands EUR annually from the public healthcare system with tax rebates and total taxation somewhere around 15% (!!!).

World class care? No you are not getting urgent in-person visit in Poland either. There are cases of people dying in ER with dislocated shoulder (because no anesthesiologist present), after quite standard C-section (no doctor present), or intubated into esophagus (and dying afterwards).

The availability and attention you are writing about are alien to me. Private visit costs 400PLN for five minutes of attention. Most important thing you'll learn is that they don't have the time (for you).

lifestyleguru··on September 2026: The world today, as seen by one Polish guy
Sir are you aware of the state of Polish public healthcare and the nearby war?

lifestyleguru··on September 2026: The world today, as seen by one Polish guy
Real estate in Poland is the only investment option without capital gains tax. You only have to keep it 5 years, extremely simple. A condo is tax free, risk free brokerage account. Even if drones start hitting these mostly empty buildings, the prices will keep rising.
lifestyleguru··on September 2026: The world today, as seen by one Polish guy
Criminals and medical doctors are funnelling a fortune into domestic and foreign real estate, and into premium cars. Polish public healthcare basically doesn't exist. Nearshoring and outsourcing centers are fleeing the country. Polish army expenditures are at the level of Israel and South Korea. The budget is spent on 40 years old military retirees while Russian drones and missiles are freely entering and penetrating the airspace. I'd say so long Poland, a failed experiment again. Polish elites don't even have to flee this time, they're already watching from their 10th or 20th real estate in Spain, Switzerland, US, or Italy (their real estate in Dubai is a bummer).

This technical analysis is really futile and counterproductive, there exists only vicious greed which will be followed by a catastrophe.
