During the rest of the conflict Trump has doubled down on threats, I mean "a civilization will die tonight" is not peacefully. I wouldn't doubt that Trump might believe Iran is weak, but I also think is more than proved that US wartime messaging is mostly directed internally to keep people dumb.
Trying to garnet sympathy using this example when the state of Israel is built on hundreds of thousands of people literally losing their home, if not their life in an attempt of taking their home, is schizophrenic at best, but at worst vile racism.
It's easier to consider that Trump got played with his big ego and even if he's looking for an off ramp, there seems to be none that would let him off the hook while still looking strong, as him looking weak is the only thing that maybe could actually harm his business.
Faith matters but it's not a deciding factor on who to marry? Then I don't think faith matters that much.
This is definitely true. You are getting cheap educated labor, boosting your country's economy and crippling competition. Self interest, not savior behavior.
Now, that's irrelevant to the argument you are replying, that shows the holes in the wage depression argument.
I don't think this is anything surprising. I mean, this is one of the most important reasons behind DEI; that a more diverse team can perform better than a less diverse one because the team is more capable of identifying their blind spots.
I find funny but unsurprising, that at the end, it was made a boogie man and killed by individuals with no so hidden biases
Some people using guns to defend themselves against who they believe are the harbingers of this authoritarian State is 2nd amendment working as intended. Not a "tragic but necessary sacrifice" as some will put school shootings, but actually what right to bear arms is supposed to be about.
And it's immaterial if you ultimately disagree to whether this administration is authoritarian, but these things will keep happening as long as enough people believe that to be the case. It's a feature, not a bug.
But in a less unrealistic scenario, if I were by chance, to be president of Israel, I would try first to dismantle illegal settlements and defuse conflict to avoid, for example, 2023 being the deadliest year for children in west bank way before Oct 7.
Any hypothetical scenario that doesn’t engage on what the Israeli government can do before Oct 7, is pretty much a scenario where you are representing an occupying and murderous regime, so likely you will behave as those who represent murderous regimes do.
What both ways are you talking about? GP is arguing on behalf of those who were called antisemites because they stated “international community should rein in Israel to prevent them to commit atrocities because of rage”, and your response seems to be “well atrocities were given because Hamas”.
This is exactly why this “mea culpa” rings hollow. People who apparently condemn the reaction will tumble on their own arguments to excuse the same actions.
So we should not trust "hospital director" or "journalist" with scare quotes as they MIGHT be Hamas, but happily take IDF soldier's words as truth. The transparent bias is laughable.
I guess also that Israel forbids aid airplanes to take air footage of Gaza because Hamas bends the light to make it seem like IDF is committing war crimes. How devilish of them.
I don't have any qualms to detest fundamentalism, jihadism included; but any analysis that focuses on religion and not on the different geopolitical incursions the so called "secular" west, it's childish and it's not even worth to consider. And it's such a joke that these "secular" and "rational" individuals would rather embrace religion than accept that their societies might be complicit and reponsible of all this suffering.
I mean, what I saw from videos on social media and news, are single protestors baiting the police acting like they were in danger when the video shows that they were ignored, saw counterprotestors sneaking in the night to the encampments and attacking them also without repercusion, we even saw the protestors attacked with a stink bomb, then the perpetrator getting a payout from the university for attempting a suspension.
Did I missed something?
