I think what is written between the lines is that they compare it to full OS virtualization. That need for that results from the desire to isolate multiple users from each other.
Feels like the gave up to overcome muscle memory. At least i continued using the og snipping tool under windows 10 because in german the new tool was named "Ausschneiden und Skizzieren" and that didn't map to me searching for "sni" and pressing enter.
All in all very handy.
Also buying fresh vegtables and cooking instead of buying ready made dishes helps.
I would start with assessing which messaging tools they are already using and see if one of that feeds your needs.
While Slack (or other similar tools like Discord, Teams, Matrix) would be theoretically suitable, it doesn't help when no one uses it. A set of WhatsApp/Signa/Telegram Groups for different kind of topics might be the better solution.
If you are deciding towards a new Tool that most of the people aren't familiar, I'd suggest to organise a little install party to get everyone ready to use the new tool and to overcome the potential initial scepticism and to gain momentum. Also make sure to define a concrete cut-over date to avoid creating just an additional channel.
The delivery was announced shortly after the approval of the dutch weapons you are talking about.
This is the translation of the tweet from Bundeskanzler Scholz announcing the change of politics [1]
"The Russian invasion marks a turning point. It is our duty to support Ukraine to the best of our ability in defending against #Putin's invading army. That is why we are supplying 1000 anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger missiles to our friends in #Ukraine."

My personal favorite read from the past months is definitely the article on ivermectin. Its a hell of a ride and he was able to create a very well working (at least for me) metaphor that allowed me to imagine how the covid-denial people came to their conclusions.
Its definitely not a 100% method but i feel like that the chance that the book is not well written is much lower when at least one person found it readable/enjoyable.
I have a Trello Site for that where i create a card for every book and write down or copy+paste the recomendation.
I also typically download the book from libgen first, take a quick look at it and then buy the book.
EDIT For German Speakers i'd also recommend these two episodes: - http://www.jungundnaiv-podcast.de/2021/09/535-aladin-el-mafa... - https://www.zeit.de/gesellschaft/2021-03/maja-goepel-intervi...
A lot of these talks are held by people that are closely related to the CCC. I expect that once the congress is taking place offline again, there will be a official track with selected talks.
Also please note that the ccc was founded in the TAZ headquarter on the table that previously belonged to the Komune 1. CCC was political from day one. I maybe wasn't so present in the earlier days but as "the internet" got more intertwined with politics the CCC followed.
i used PC because in the parent comment PC was used as well.
Desktop is also not ideal because it runs on Laptops as well.

One of the most interesting parts of that episode was how the described their relationship with the hardware manufacturers. The deep level of co-working on a very hard task and jointly developing the tech needed was really inspiring.
