Oxygen can be kept in a liquid state by either keeping the temperature extremely low or keeping it under high pressure. Since reinforcing the tanks to handle incredibly high pressures would require too much weight, the tanks are instead constantly being topped up with cryogenic fuel until the moment of launch.
As for the venting: the fuel starts heating up and evaporating as soon as it's pumped into the tanks causing the pressure within the tanks to rise. Since the tanks aren't rated for high pressure, they have to vent the excess oxygen to keep within safety margins.

As someone who prefers open office plans to private offices / cubicles, I've always wondered if the large number of anti-open-plan articles are because that opinion is the majority, or because it is the loud minority.
In terms of compensation for the colonists, what are you going to do with money when you're on a dead rock 225 million kilometres from Earth?
I have a neighbour that often cooks curry; I can't stand the smell of curry. Even though the smell comes in through my windows, I don't have the right to force them to stop cooking. I just close my windows.

You chose to lose your code generator by getting a new phone without backing it up, AND you removed the phone backup that was provided for you.
This is like getting a new keychain, throwing out your old keys, then getting angry at your bank because you can't get into your safe deposit box.
I use tmux, so all the advanced functionality of the terminal is only a single keypress away (to switch to another open terminal split).
