This game was definitely inspired by Flappy Bird, but no I didn't think about that name before today.
I'm the guy working on MilkyJS.
If people are interested in it, I'll try to fix the last few bugs and put it on GitHub. So I'm really interested in your feedback, especially: Would you use a framework like this? And do you see ways to improve the API?
Thanks :-)

About input lag, I'm a bit surprised. On my computer the input is super responsive. Maybe it depends on the OS/browser? I'll have to look into this.
Gravity could definitely be better. I'll look at Cave Story then.
I have only 5 short levels, so adding checkpoint will make the game too easy I think.
And I'm considering going open source.
In the meantime you can read about my process making the sprite for game #6 on my blog: http://blog.lessmilk.com/pixel-art-how-i-made-the-princess-i...
Tools: Sublime Text and Photoshop mainly.

I'm doing this mainly to learn how to actually make games. So far I have 7 games available. Let me know if you have any questions about it!
For my games I'm using Phaser, a Javascript Framework. I made a small tutorial about it here: http://blog.lessmilk.com/make-html5-games-with-phaser-1/

It's awesome to see my website submitted on HN. Let me know if you have any questions about my project.
