lennysan··on How long it took different companies to find product-market fit
Oh hi! That's very strange indeed. Have you tried emailing Substack support? I'm not doing anything weird here.

lennysan··on How the biggest consumer apps got their first 1k users
I've come across a few other startups that got started this way, but from this research it was interesting to see that wasn't big for any of the biggest consumer apps.

Since you've got a SaaS product, (hopefully) you'll be happy to hear I'm doing a follow-up looking at how the fastest growing SaaS companies got started.

That's how they (allegedly) got supply, not demand, which is what I focused on in the post

lennysan··on Ask HN - Review my startup: Localmind
I appreciate the feedback. That is where a lot of our energy is going right now, fostering the intrinsic motivation and making it as easy (and fun) as possible to answer. I think there's enough precedent (e.g. Stack Overflow, Quora, Aardvark, etc.) to be confident this can work.

lennysan··on Ask HN - Review my startup: Localmind
It's really interesting, the word serendipity keeps coming up around this concept. I'm giving a talk at TEDxConcordia later this month titled "Losing Serendipity", though it has nothing to do with Localmind. Certainly gives me more fodder for the talk.

Re 13" MBP: Good point. The UI itself will probably look a bit tight as well.
lennysan··on Ask HN - Review my startup: Localmind
I initially put that in there to measure (using mixpanel) how many people wanted those, to avoid overbuilding. Learned pretty quickly that people want a Twitter auth option. While we build it, wanted to at least acknowledge that they are on their way.
