How are you getting the first group together? Between the Mac requirement, invites and people needing to be low on tokens at roughly the same time, it seems quite easy for interested people to keep missing each other.
Found a 2015 statement from Takeo explaining that planned spending on books had been cut by more than half to pay for safety work on the shelving, and CCC also acknowledged that it should have chosen the books more carefully.
I think he misses the old forums where he'd just drop in to see what people were talking about. Not necessarily looking for an answer to something. Actually, he didn't need a recommendation feed to find a thread worth reading. But I do agree with you: books always win.
Or the copies can go their own way. I could send someone an itinerary and they could change the dates or drop half the stops and add their own notes without needing to send an updated copy. Getting them to install another app just to open it might be a problem, especially if they only want to use it once.
I don't think cutting it up means he doesn't care about the book when he's going to the trouble of rebinding the pieces so he can keep reading on paper.
I think we're asking too much of buyers here. You shouldn't need to learn about fabrics and stitching, then check who owns the brand now, just to buy a shirt that lasts.
I'm not sure there's always a more efficient way to find that same information. If you already have a question, sure, you can look for an answer. Sometimes you stumble across a post about something you hadn't even thought to look into, though. I think that's part of what he's talking about when he mentions finding things that changed his life.
I like how much work you've put into just being a passenger :) I'm building a little world in the browser myself, so I like finding projects like this.
