>Something about seeing the internals opened up and laid out

There's a subreddit for that: https://www.reddit.com/r/knolling/

Nintendo is similar. Communicating with other players online is nearly impossible, even if you're friends.

Is there a pun between Broccoli and Brotli I'm not aware of? There's another Brotli compression tool called Broccoli (written in Go), just a coincidence?

The definition of swindle is "to obtain money or property by fraud or deceit". Neither is happening in the scenario where the price match is refused.

How is refusing to price match considered swindling? Personally, I've never had issues with Best Buy price matching routers or graphics cards.

Despite how drastically different the recommendations are for each persona, there seem to be some videos which are inexplicably nearly universally recommended. It's practically a meme - the top comment on many older videos is something along the lines of "See you all again in 5 years when Youtube decides to recommend this again" or "I didn't search for this. Neither did you."

What are they going to do with the email addresses of the retweeters? Send a strongly worded email?

The funny thing about SC2 is that the player's MMR (matchmaking rating) is decoupled from rank, due to design decisions such as demotions not occurring midseason. So a gold league player with a low enough MMR may get matched against bronze league players, despite ostensibly being ranked higher. Actually for the longest time after release, player MMR was not visible. It took 6 years and 2 expansions before it was finally displayed in-game.

Ditto for cockroaches. I'm curious where those little buggers disappear to when they manage to escape from me.

>Having survived multiple events where my survival was in serious question

Out of curiosity, what were these events?

Was the US unaware that POWs were being tortured at the Hanoi Hilton before Brent's release?

Is that why Shumway was abandoned?

I'm pretty sure shpongled is just quoting Kevin from The Office: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvPaEsuz-tY

Haha, who's the original author of that?

I started working on a MyFitnessPal clone, the app is great but some features I want are missing or require a subscription. If any open source project like this already exists, please let me know.

> Base clocks are irrelevant on desktop, it's not Sandy Bridge days anymore

Reading this makes me feel like I need to build a new PC now lol. Any idea what percentage of desktop PCs are still on Sandy Bridge?

This concept is very entertaining. The PS3 game Haze and Black Mirror episode Men Against Fire have similar premises. Are there any other works of media exploring this?

Age is a just a number. John Carmack created Doom in his early 20s.

Anyone know who the original creator of the bouncing DVD logo is?

Small world, the committer is one of the main contributors to MPC-HC (RIP)

For those unaware, the title is a reference to a hilariously long user-created ride in Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 titled "MR BONES WILD RIDE" [1]. The ride's exit connected to its entrance, so passengers were forced to repeatedly ride the roller coaster forever.

I could see this being popular with blind users. Perhaps prioritize accessibility.

I wish more recipes specified ingredients by weight instead of volume.

The anti-cheat potential would actually be a killer feature for me. Unfortunately the games which would benefit the most from it also tend to be latency-sensitive.

Can you provide the link to that AMA?
