l33tfr4gg3r··on Brendan Eich becomes Mozilla CEO
So scripted ;)
l33tfr4gg3r··on Show HN: Luculent, a new code/terminal font
My terminal font of choice in recent times is Hermit (https://pcaro.es/p/hermit/) - very readable anti aliased font both in the terminal and within IDEs (on Linux). Somehow doesn't render as well on Windows (but then again, who uses Windows for serious work anyway ;)). I can't wait to try this out once I get my hands on my personal workstation, since there's no such thing as too many programming fonts.
l33tfr4gg3r··on Codename: BlueMix – IBM's New PaaS Offering
Simple nodejs app up and running from one of their samples. http://powernode.ng.bluemix.net/

The experience of deploying the Node app on Bluemix is very reminiscent of a Heroku deployment, IMO.

l33tfr4gg3r··on Game Developers Are Trolling the Makers of Candy Crush With Other "Candy" Games
Sounds like the equivalent of a distributed denial of service attack against patent trolling!
l33tfr4gg3r··on Mozilla's New Fira Typeface
Using an existing font for the sake of using it is << creating a new font and open sourcing it. More choice is good (especially with something like fonts) and open sourcing it is just icing on the cake. Everyone wins. PS: Thanks for the tip on Futura, I had not heard of it before.
l33tfr4gg3r··on iMessage for Android
One less reason to buy an iDevice, at least until Apple issues the inevitable takedown, Cease-and-Desist, iSueYou, etc.
l33tfr4gg3r··on Why knowing English is important for every software developer
English is not my native language, although my entire schooling and upbringing were in English. One of the resources I found useful in improving the quality of the written word was "The Elements of Style" by William Strunk. The e-book can be found on Bartleby (http://www.bartleby.com/141/) or, if you so prefer, a dead tree version is available on Amazon.
l33tfr4gg3r··on Android's Hugo Barra leaves Google
>> Thankfully for them Apple showed/shows them much of the UI direction.

Huh!? If anything, I think Apple's the one taking a few pages out of the Holo playbook with their new found love for flat UI design in iOS 7.
