ksjskskskkk··on JavaScript Multithreading (2023)
everyone will update their unnecessary react framework that is used 90pct of the time for something that should have been a static page, to use multithread. then bloggers will write about how you need to enable it to get smooth 120fps on your button animations. then events will not be handled right and you will scratch your head why clicking the smooth 120fps button fails to update your profile or whatever. because it was enabled on a non multithread aware code and tests were never updated or existed in the first place, and bugs will only be fixed after hundreds of users bother to contact support. as usual
ksjskskskkk··on The optimal amount of fraud is non-zero (2022)
by your logic a local racist militia will improve the police.

just because something is not perfect adding something obviously worse won't force the previous thing to be perfect. regulation will tho, but you cryptocoins liberals won't hear about it

ksjskskskkk··on iPhone that fell from hole in Alaska 737 MAX flight is found, still open to Mail
a ripped cable might sort pins which might confused that logic. it's probably in connected mode but showing something like insufficient amps.

simpler explanation, it's 2023 apple code...

ksjskskskkk··on Someone bought 26.9 BTC on Binance and sent it to Satoshi's dead wallet
you bought on the rumor and will lose money on the news.

it will be ruled next week. not launch.

ksjskskskkk··on Someone bought 26.9 BTC on Binance and sent it to Satoshi's dead wallet
the inside trading is a way to mislead useful idiots. you're just eating too many tiktoks about senators month old trading reports.

they get rich the old way, literal bags of money. you cannot win a big construction job without bags of money that go from the engineer to the govt inspector, then the inspector to the mayor, then to the governor. if you did up anything paid by tax, you will find that foundations are always missing several meters of concrete that are in the plan and paid for.

ksjskskskkk··on What the heck is a homomorphic mapped type?
you just listed worse tortures and confirmed the abuse clouding your judgment.

like pollution, with js the only effective action is reduction.

ksjskskskkk··on Migadu.com and Gmailify.com from the same founders? Isn't that a contradiction?
First time hearing any of that. but if they can make a quick buck on gmail's huge machine exhaust fumes, why shouldn't them?

it's not like they are increasing gmail's brand awareness, the domains won't be at gmail. they will just abuse their cost covering to mine your content, which is already a lost battle from your other link

ksjskskskkk··on Migadu.com and Gmailify.com from the same founders? Isn't that a contradiction?
feels like you're them, doing market research.
ksjskskskkk··on Juris-M: Zotero with support for multilingual and legal citation styles

ksjskskskkk··on What the heck is a homomorphic mapped type?
i can't imagine the abuse that's is working with JavaScript to hail typescript as the salvation. I'm sorry for all of you.
ksjskskskkk··on True Name – Mastercard (2022)
laudable, but meaningless since they are also moving to biometrics such as fingerprints and palm scanners (against every single security advisory). and stores are moving to cashier-less automation.
ksjskskskkk··on JavaScript Multithreading (2023)
absolutely zero js code needs this but it will be the must-have feature for FE frameworks.

and the world will suffer a multitude of common-for-users-but-edge-cases-for-the-devs triggering all sort of bugs for all of 2024.

ksjskskskkk··on BYD's YangWang U8 launched, can float on water for 30 minutes and sail 3km/h
there's no direction wear at low speeds.

or do you parallel park at 60mph? maybe you drive to work on reverse?

ksjskskskkk··on BYD's YangWang U8 launched, can float on water for 30 minutes and sail 3km/h
you are just poor. Mercedes Benz have had cars that parallel park like that by abusing a slight turn on the back wheels for decades.
ksjskskskkk··on Ask HN: Why did LinkedIn become what it is today?
linkedin was never good. remember it started by hiring content farms to feed fake profiles? it was just marginally better than monster jobs. nothing else. now Microsoft cleared that a bit but online they are an advertising business, so, they don't care if you get a job, but how many ads you see daily.
ksjskskskkk··on Ask HN: Why did LinkedIn become what it is today?
linkedin wishes it was all meme and cat photos.

passenger boats are way overdue for a come back.

ksjskskskkk··on Bitcoin ETF Issuers Clear Major Hurdle on Path to SEC Approval
remember how Bloomberg journalist got bonuses for moving the market (it's on wikipedia, search yourself)

ksjskskskkk··on Facebook incorrectly reports personal blog to DigitalOcean for phishing
> it's expensive

yeah, because their business model is to hope you have very expensive spikes. legitimate or not

ksjskskskkk··on Facebook incorrectly reports personal blog to DigitalOcean for phishing
redirecting 404 to the homepage is enough to be banned from the internet. (slightly /s)

also, you used cloudflare. meh.

ksjskskskkk··on Facebook incorrectly reports personal blog to DigitalOcean for phishing
maybe confirmation bias because people who like stuff in Facebook are already in a bucket of lame people
ksjskskskkk··on Ask HN: How would you build a simple, dynamic website in 2024?
php8 is exactly what you described. avoid anything not in core. no modules. no autoloader etc. and then sprinkle a js frontend which just adds functionality on top of raw html.
ksjskskskkk··on Creditors' protection association earns millions with cost-free GDPR rights
most countries have elites who do not want their financial information on their central bank, so everyone else have to accept the infective system because of them. us and uk and ru are the last holdouts, with most other places moving to instant payments owned by central banks as a backdoor into society to close this option.
ksjskskskkk··on Turn off balloons, thumbs up, fireworks that appear during macOS video calls
the reason these features exists is so apple can continue to send the occasional media from user devices to the mother ship under gdpr and cpca et al.

now collecting user media have an agreed upon feature use case. wink wink.

ksjskskskkk··on Driverless cars swerve traffic tickets in California even if they break the law

ksjskskskkk··on 7 watts idle – building a low powered server/NAS on Intel 12th/13th gen
anecdotal: run the exact same system and tasks on desktops with ddr4 ecc and laptops without ecc ddr5 (they technically have amd pro apu and sodimm sockets, but i can't find the damn memory to buy)

the laptops see two unexplainable crashes per 6 mo.

ksjskskskkk··on 7 watts idle – building a low powered server/NAS on Intel 12th/13th gen
b550m with a amd5 pro from 2023 (will double check models and post on that forum)

i get 9w idle and amd pro cpus have ECC support which is a requirement for me on any real computer. i disable most components on the board. it's bottom tier consumer quality.

best part is when i need to burn many more watts the integrated gpu is pretty decent
