krthkv··on Ask HN: What news sources do you use to maintain a broad perspective?
https://www.ft.com: love their depth. But would love more breadth in their reporting.
krthkv··on Shopify employees accessed customer databases without authorization
The "employee access to customer data isn't protected" sits as unsolved an opportunity canvas/brief in almost every SaaS company. You can get to a fair amount of controls with little to no code and only with process changes (aka SoC and ISO certifications), which is also what SaaS security teams spend quite a bit of time on. There are a fair amount of problems to be solved here.
krthkv··on A Kubernetes operator to sync secrets from AWS Secrets Manager
Hey there, I work on the infra team at Contentful and wanted to expand on the caching. Polling AWS Secrets Manager often can incur considerable costs since it is priced by API calls. We've tried to alleviate this by caching the list of secrets and their values in the process.
krthkv··on Oatly: The New Coke?
Great write up on debunking oatly's "health benefits". But fails to mention the the moral reasons to choose oat milk over cow's milk.

TBF lot of the meat replacements are plagued by similar problems. [1]

krthkv··on Ask HN: Is all of FAANG like this?
I have a different take: Nothing really wrong with gaming the system. If someone has successfully "gamed" the interview but not effective at their role, then the interview isn't testing the candidate for the role and sounds like a broken interview loop.
krthkv··on GitHub`s CEO loves Bitbucket
I'm guessing someone used his public git email to commit as him ? https://help.github.com/articles/why-are-my-commits-linked-t...
krthkv··on Enpass Password Manager
this just looks like a neater LastPass (or am I missing something?)
krthkv··on Electric meat (2012)

krthkv··on Ask HN: cheap ways to host your own email server?
dovecot+postfix is all that is to it, but to ensure it doesn't land in spam you'll have to do a bunch of things (like contacting your ISP) http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2010/04/so-youd-like-to-sen...
krthkv··on Valentine greeting with bash script (terminal)
he came back with another pull request to revert the change .. which the closed without merging .. https://github.com/afshinm/valentine_script/pull/3
