> Strongbox is fantastic on iOS

Yeap, but now you have to trust (there's really no open source on iOS, as there's no reproducible builds or way to verify the code) on some guy and hope for the best.

kringdom89··on I'm tired of this anti-Wayland horseshit
Well, I think that saying works better is an understatement.

On windows I just plug my external monitor with regular DPI and it auto-recognize that this external monitor have regular DPI and size it acordingly while keeping the HIDPI of my laptop perfectly untouched and also auto recognized.

While on xorg, goodluck with that.

On Wayland it works, but require manual intervention of enabling fractional scaling and setting everything manually.

kringdom89··on We can do better than DuckDuckGo
I suspect that anyone who claims that Duckduckgo "Just works" only do english search. I usually do "english" / "mother tongue" searchs all day. Everytime, I need to remember to toggle the regional button otherwise I get attrocious results. Whereas google simply understand that if I'm searching using the english language it should prioritize english results while if I'm searching in another language it should prioritize it instead.

It gets tiring quickly and I find easier to append !g instead of clicking the regional toggle button.

kawera explained pretty well.

Brazil do not follow (broadly) the stare decisis system in witch low instance judges must follow precedent upper decision.

In special repetitive cases, the Supreme Court can edit some enunciates called "súmulas vinculantes" that bind every branch of power (except legislative) to follow their statement but that's a exceptional measure.

As of today, there's only 55 "súmulas vinculantes".

Brazil, supposedly, is a democratic state while Saudi Arabia is an Absolute Monarchy that must comply with Sharia.

There's an expectancy that we(I'm Brazilian) can understand and live with the consequences of Encryption, as any other democratic state.

But, in Brazil, Judges have a lot of power and they can make "undemocratic" decisions witch will be overruled by the superior instance.

I'm talking about Brazil. Sorry if it was not clear enough.

We don't have elected judges so that might help. Our judges need to be approved in a incredible hard Civil service entrance examination.

Also, they have several constitutional protections that protect them from political or public subordination as they have jobs for life, they can't be moved to another city without their consent, etc.
