this is something mathcad had done very well imo. it provided you with a blank page where you could write anywhere and the equations nearly looked like they had been written with latex. even better, all changes to variables were live and you could tweak things anywhere to see how it effected your numbers. miss it a lot. calca is similar to it now on the mac, but not nearly as pretty and you still end up with lines of text and no equations.

Agreed. If you are copying a successful web product you may as well take it to 100% and then try to improve upon it. Making changes just to look like you're not copying it forces your product to be inferior.

You may want to look at how the docker-registry image is configured with environment variables. They have one image that can be used with files/S3/ceph/more configurations that are selected with variables. It's a pretty elegant way of having many configuration options in my opinion, except you still need to figure out how to 'docker run' the image.

I've been using it in our development environment. It locks like crazy.

This is after configuring HAProxy to have a primary node which all connections go to.

OpenStack seems to be OK with it though, it chugs along without fully breaking down. I'm sure I would see a pretty big performance delta if I ran a benchmark against it with and without Galera.
