It’s nice that they have it but strange that it’s hidden.

It would be better if it was an option on the setup screen, and even better if it was the default option and if the login screen was in the parameters.

Because as an hidden option I always fear that they remove it and that we have to find an alternative. And so far DIY e-reader do not seem great.

I love codeberg but it also have outages and is sometimes quite slow.

But I’m more lenient with codeberg because they are a non-profit and as you say, they are banning vibe-coded project because of the cost to infrastructure. In the meantime, GitHub is encouraging vibe-coding, multiplication of the source code, and genAI discussions.

Conduit was built around sled in the past. It has been depreciated in favor of sqlite as sled was using too much memory. (and sqlite is used as a key-value storage)

As there is now an interface allowing to add several storage backend, more backends could be added later (for instance a real key-value storage rather than a RDBMS used as a KV-store)

They use their own matrix client : tchap. They also use their own app store (not sure what it's based on) Therefore, French ministry that use matrix may not be affected
