If that were the case they wouldn't have the cheap Chinese labor and I doubt the Chinese government would continue to subsidize US build vehicles for the US market.
It'd still be a compelling vehicle but it wouldn't be starting at $33k.

Whether you like or don't like the politics/policies of the company since he's taken over, it's not clear whether he's made Twitter more or less viable as a company going forward.
As an extreme example, if they regulated minimum $1000 per ride. No logical person, free market oriented or not, would expect "alternatives" to take their place.

Looks to me like the ability to investigate and respond to problems has improved if you ask me.
What if instead of posting a link to a blog of a "random person" that summarizes a number of studies, I post the study directly: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30611908/
Title: Daily oral dosing of vitamin D3 using 5000 TO 50,000 international units a day in long-term hospitalized patients: Insights from a seven year experience
> During this time, we have admitted over 4700 patients, the vast majority of whom agreed to supplementation with either 5000 or 10,000 IUs/day. Due to disease concerns, a few agreed to larger amounts, ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 IUs/day. There have been no cases of vitamin D3 induced hypercalcemia or any adverse events attributable to vitamin D3 supplementation in any patient.
What would you say to this here?
According to the evidence provided here, 20000 IU/day is safe.
He recommends anywhere from 10,000 to 50,000 IU per day which he backs up with studies. N of 1 here but I have a friend who started taking 30,000 IU per day and feels great.
I think this shows that the commenter is biased and doesn't have the full picture.
To argue from Thiel’s perspective, I believe he sees the US as the leader in “zero to one” technologies and China as mostly “1 to n” technologies. Therefore, he focuses on pushing/keeping the US on this frontier, that’s also where he has the most influence.
I don’t think he would say there have absolutely been no breakthrough technological improvements, just not enough. I would imagine if you asked him if the advances in solar power was a great achievement he would say yes. But he would also say we still spend too much time and money building the next mobile app that marginally improves on the status quo.
I also don’t see him as a historian of technological progress, carefully documenting the wins and the losses in his writing and speeches. He’s trying to push a narrative which I think is broadly true but obviously has the pitfalls of any subjective opinion.
The way it is analogized here [1] was interesting to me:
"If we told people that fear of flying was something everyone struggles with, that it was the result of what others have done to them, or structural racism or whatever, I’m sure we’d get more of it. Imagine further if TV, music, and movies taught kids that fear of flying made them deep and interesting, and schools and universities had fear of flying awareness weeks. This is pretty much the modern approach to mental illness."

This tile shows up when any calling app is active. So it works for FaceTime or even third party apps like Google Meet. Good luck!
What does this mean practically?
What happens if they unionize and they decide to close later? Is this Chipotle location forced to remain open indefinitely?
So maybe it isn’t standards in terms of income, occupation, etc. that’s holding you back. It seems like you’re using attractiveness as the first filter. Which most people do when finding a mate. But given your age and your goals, maybe you should give a chance to more of those that you don’t find meeting your attractiveness bar. Treat it like a arranged marriage perhaps, arranged marriages often result in fulfilling lasting marriages (with kids!) that I’m sure didn’t start with outright attraction.
From what you’ve described here, you’re quite the catch. Is it that belief that is leading you to have too high of standards for your mate?
I've also spilled maybe half a cup of water directly the keyboard of my 2017 MacBook Pro and it still works just fine to this day (I've since given the laptop to my dad).
Just hoping to add some more data to the conversation.
