knowitnone2··on Sj.h: A tiny little JSON parsing library in ~150 lines of C99
If you review libraries, why do you need to quick scan the issues? You would have already identified all the issues right? Right?

knowitnone2··on US to target more businesses after Hyundai raid
no company is telling on themselves saying "We hire illegal immigrants to harvest our crops and paying them below minimum wage"

you fail to understand basic economics. states AND countries provide tax breaks to lure in businesses with certain agreements. In the long term, this provides jobs, training, benefits local economy, income taxes, raises property values, increases property taxes, etc.

And your tax contribution to would be %.0001. There are MANY things about the government to be infuriated at but this isn't one of them.

where I live, illegals get government services whether they pay taxes or not. Welcome to socialism
knowitnone2··on Let us git rid of it, angry GitHub users say of forced Copilot features
isn't this typical Microsoft behavior? Just look at Windows and how many components are forced upon you. Try uninstalling it, it just comes right back. Most of it, you can't even uninstall. Some you can't even unpin. That's a monopoly for you. And they steal your documents by making OneDrive the default so they can train their AI. It's malicious.

I'd argue that if you didn't buy the meat, somebody else did so your argument that it was "good for the world" lacks evidence.

What data do they have is not already "AI-ified"? And in court, a vested person needs to fight and if there is no such person(dead), there is no standing.
knowitnone2··on Intermittent fasting strategies and their effects on body weight
I did intermittent fasting. I think this conditioned me to being in the hunger state and to ignore hunger. Along with exercise and portion control, I did lose 20 pounds. I could have gone further but I became lacking in certain nutrients and a doctor told me to stop.

knowitnone2··on AI is propping up the US economy
do cars enable something that was impossible before? bikes? shoes? clothing? Your answer would be No.
knowitnone2··on AI is propping up the US economy
so you never read the summary at the top of Google search results to get the answer because it provides the answer to most of my searches. "they don't improve my work experience" that's fair but perhaps you haven't really given it a try? "they don't improve the quality of my online interactions" but how do you know? LLMs are being used to create websites, generate logos, images, memes, art videos, stories - you've already been entertained by them and not even know it. "I don't think they improve the quality of the society I live in either" That's a feeling, not a fact.
knowitnone2··on AI is propping up the US economy
No matter how good or fast you are, you will never beat the LLM. What you're saying is akin to "your math is faster than a calculator" and I'm willing to bet it's not. LLMs are not perfect and will require intervention and fixing but if it can get you 90% there, that's pretty good. In the coming years, you'll soon find your peers are performing much faster than you (assuming you program for a living) and you will have no choice but you do you.
knowitnone2··on AI is propping up the US economy
yes and no. AI may be propping up some tech companies who make items in the AI space but the number of jobs lost due to AI is pretty overwhelming. I spent the last week using LLMs to build an app using libraries I am unfamiliar with. It was amazing - to the point where I won't have to write a line of code anymore. These developers probably have some money saved up but that'll dry up. Plus the new grads are now competing against people with some experience. Tariffs + inflation + a presidential grifter = bad times.
