Teltonika also has started to create a similar solution but it is not in the same level just yet.
So, implying that Unifi is the only company that does this in an easy way is misleading marketing.
Comparing against Mikrotik is a very low bar.
Is there a Mikrotik 5G version though? I am still waiting for that.
If you mean the standard routers (like the Rutx50), Teltonika itself sells external enclosures with antennas. https://www.teltonika-networks.com/products/accessories/ante...
Then the article should be titled as
"Send this article to your friend who still thinks that AWS is a good idea"
or
"Save costs by taking a step towards more hands on management"
or
"How I saved money moving from AWS to Hetzner"
Depends on the users. Junior devs might be fooled. Senior devs would quickly understand that something is wrong.
There is a big difference between communicating with external services (your example) vs REQUIRING external services (what parent is complaining about).
If in your example the system can run correctly with just local backups I would consider it self-hosted.
You can disable that in the settings.

Based on some quick testing this consumes about 1% per minute on my S24 Ultra which makes this scenario unrealistic (at least for me)

Also I believe some mobile phones can do exactly the same thing.
Hyundai Kona (the middle package) 22k euros with manual
Hyundai Kona (the middle package) 27k euros with automatic
Main point was that you could not get just automatic transmission on its own. You also had to get the 4WD drive version at the same time.
For several people this is an important decision.
So some people don't "prefer" manual. It just made sense at the time they bought the car.
There are concept/themed albums where the songs tell a story and you are supposed to listen them from start to finish.
Also several times an album is actually how the artists themselves wanted to release/listen/publish their songs (instead of individual tracks with no relation among them)
Most of them contacted me and asked me to update pricing or had other clarifications about their product
But 3 of them actually said they were impressed and asked me to join their team. I chose Codefresh and this is the company I still work today.
But that is not important. In a real application it might be a unicode error, a date error, a wrong-format error or something else.
So don't we need some articles to defend against the existing articles by these strawmen?
