kishansagathiya··on Show HN: Better GitHub profiles (replace url with your own username)
Profiles are created based on user's open source contributions. It counts number of pull requests merged in a project and shows those projects. That is a very useful profile for anyone who has worked in open source.

Your (umtksa) PRs have not been merged in any project. So it doesn't show any (tha's why its all undefined)

kishansagathiya··on Ask HN: If you could work remote where would you live?
Bali
kishansagathiya··on Let's guess what Google requires in 14 days or they kill our extension
This dude has written crappy, inefficient code and is now complaining for it. If just permissions are so inefficiently written one can only imagine, what would be the state of rest of the codebase. Badly written apps can also generate traction. Users don't see the code quality. They rarely know the first thing about privacy and security.

It's not Google's job to teach someone to how to write good code. Good compiler can tell you what is the error, it won't pop out a solution as well.

kishansagathiya··on Ask HN: As an indi-Hacker, How have you manage to stay disciplined and focused?
Hmm, that seems like a good idea. They definitely help inside the company (those `standup calls`). YC Startup School does accountability calls. And since they are really pushing people to join those calls, I am guessing they must work.

kishansagathiya··on Ask HN: As an indi-Hacker, How have you manage to stay disciplined and focused?
Hey, thanks a lot for this really valuable advice

Because of my personal needs, I am using this small program that I start when I start working. I asks me some basic questions like did I meditate, did I exercise, etc and show a list of long term goals. It runs for 8 hours (if I don't stop it with ctrl+c). It logs all that info in a json file by date for me to see in future. As long as it is running I am less likely to deviate from work. It would also tell me to drink water every hour. Wonder if there are other people out there who try to be strict with their days this way?

But, I don't really prioritise my work as you have suggested (tricky things in the morning, mundane things for later), I would definitely start doing that.

kishansagathiya··on Show HN: Remote91 – Payroll, Taxation, Hiring of Remote Developers in India
Thanks. You are right in saying that you can save tax with 44ADA. But it has an upper limit of 50 lac and you have to get a GST number. There are other things as well except taxing. But again different things might matter more or less to different people. I have written in detail the problems based on my experience at https://kishansagathiya.github.io/blog.html#remote1
kishansagathiya··on Ask HN: Why Are There `Remote: Only US` or `Remote: Only Europe` Jobs?
They have legal entities in quite a few countries, but most of them are in countries that have labour-friendly rules. https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/finance/payroll/#legal-ent...

Everywhere else it must be similar to freelancing. You give them receipts and they pay. But you still have a contract with the company. But if you both are in different countries I am not sure how much practical value does that contract have.

kishansagathiya··on Ask HN: Does anyone still use IRC?
IPFS and it's sister projects use it.
kishansagathiya··on Ask HN: How to found a company as a single founder?
Are there really any single founders? In most successful single founder companies, there are few people who effectively does cofounder like stuff. In this case initial recruits would just not have the cofounder title, but the same work. Also initial recruits will stick around and will give their best only if they have enough incentive, which is equity(a cofounder thing)
kishansagathiya··on Tell me what kind of product you wish would have existed
hahaha, This one was really helpful and something probably I would have never thought of, but now that I think about it, I would also like to use something like this. Even I spend a lot of my time going to toilet again and again.
