kirklove··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (March 2016)
Friends of the High Line (www.highline.org) New York / On-Site / Full time.

FHL is looking for a Graphic Designer / Front-End Developer as we build our internal team. Super hands-on position and a chance to shape the direction of one of the leading NYC destinations with nearly 8MM visitors last year alone.

kirklove··on Driving Is Losing Its Allure for More Americans
Can understand this sentiment in younger people. As someone in his mid-40s, even living in New York City, I just picked up a car (after 8 years of not having one) and have been enjoying driving it so much. It's just something I grew up with and love to do as an activity.
kirklove··on Dropbox closing Carousel and Mailbox
I use it with El Capitan. Still works fine.

Same. Sparrow is still my favorite email app on the Mac. Sadly had to give up on it with iOS as it just got super wonky. Will use it as long as it works on OSX.
kirklove··on Why 'Cool' is still cool
I like using "neat" as well. Then again I'm in my forties ;)

I also like using "fantastic" instead of awesome and often get strange looks, but a bonus of being older is I don't give a crap!

kirklove··on An Unusual Subway Stop in New York
Got to ride this yesterday, and I've seen a lot of NYC Subway stops. This one is amazing. Comes at a price though for sure.
kirklove··on Gmail trick: multiplying your address
Seconded. I like reading and learning here. There is a lot I don't know. And that's cool. Most folks are in the same boat. Thanks for the comment.
kirklove··on Hydra: A lightweight OS X window manager with a powerful API
+2. Can't live without it. I'm paralyzed on a machine without it (or Alfred)
kirklove··on I am burned out while still in learning phase
Fantastic comment. Wise in so many ways.
kirklove··on Show HN: PeggSite - Something We Had To Build
Hey, thanks for the feedback. Right now the TOS are basically stock, so we have something at launch (lawyers!). We can modify them at any time so welcome input and I'll be sure to talk to them about striking such language. Thanks again.
kirklove··on Christopher Chabris Should Calm Down
I respectfully disagree. Dialog is a good thing. He may very well be wrong at times though I don't believe he's attempting to mislead people.

Personally, I never want to stop saying, "What if". That question has led to amazing things.

kirklove··on Christopher Chabris Should Calm Down
One of the points that always seems to be lost in these criticisms and rebuttals and debates is that Gladwell spawns conversion. And that's a very good thing. Nothing should be taken as sacrosanct on either side. It's good to prod and examine these issues and bring more views to the table. Hopefully that leads to more questions... not dogma.
kirklove··on Day 180: Finished
Congrats!
kirklove··on I'm learning to code by building 180 websites in 180 days. Today is day 115
Do you have a list of your favorite resources. Would be great to see that path... Like I built this and used this to learn. Fantastic job btw. Kudos!
kirklove··on Maily: Your Kids' First Email
Really well done, great job and best of luck.
kirklove··on The Flat Design Era
You nailed it. 100%. Perfect comment.
