khirasaki··on Genetic link between family SES and children's educational achievement
I'm having a hard time parsing this paper. The question I have is:

What percentage of family SES appears to be genetically correlated, intelligence or otherwise?

khirasaki··on Uber for Welfare
How about hell no? I'm curious who this author is, a lobbyist for Uber?

How about a Guaranteed Minimum Income for every American, which will do far more to address poverty as well as raise wages (if you're already receiving money, you'll be able to demand a higher wage for working a job).

Screw welfare, and its tenuous political existence. Support everyone and the government doesn't need to invent more regulations and punish poor people.

khirasaki··on Khan Academy SAT Prep
This link should point to:

khanacademy.org/sat

That's the new system.

khirasaki··on America's one-child policy?
Hmm... seems like the same logic in 2006 that "housing prices never go down." This seems like a completely naive extrapolation.
khirasaki··on Ask HN: I'm a young developer. What should I do next?
I agree that rather than looking for work as a web developer, you might focus on building really useful components and libraries on GitHub, or just staring by forking projects there and making improvements or fixes.

I understand your desire to get paid work, but really building your skills and making things that people find useful is a great proving ground.
