I've never understood why startups position themselves this way? If you have 10M in the bank pay your employees what they fucking deserve! In an internet startup your engineers are all you actually have. Ideas are worth nothing.

Living in San Francisco is expensive as fuck. You should do everything to make your employees lives easier so they can concentrate more time to work.

When do we deem the App.net experiment a failure?

Mark is a shinning star in an abysmal Canadian investment scene.

Utilizing storyboards and xibs is one of the best way to decrease development time. Stop the coding madness!!!!

The only people I still know that avoid heavy utilization of these do not understand how to properly use them. Go learn!

love this move. I've seen first hand the 150k let's startups limp around for far to long.

Depends on the person. I headed to SF and learned more over the last 3 months than I've learned during any period of my life. Surround yourself with aspiring people and learn from them. You will get way more than any MBA program.

I would rather be lost via Apple Maps than have to use the Bing iPhone app. awful

the beauty in spotify is the simplicity. Gamification makes no sense in this context.

I think this is a really smart move for Deadmau5.

During this period its not on spotify, diehard fans will pay for the album through itunes (or other means). After its released to spotify they will benefit from spotify distribution.

use an add network to bump your app to 1g revenue

seriously, apply to ycombinator.

I agree with this line of thinking but it's not what people are used to. As much as it sucks, anything more than free people will complain.

cool

solution: find good angels.

Have you guys taken investment before?

Sam, with your resume you should be able to get a+ angels that could help with the business end of things. You guys have the product end covered :)

noted :)

Ya it seem like they are adding cities as they can. In SF it works great! They really should post an eta for each city.

my bad. background processing cuts off after 10 minutes. Dropbox should change their description: "Automatically upload photos and videos". Not automatic. Need to open the app after 10 minutes or after a new picture/video is taken.

just tried a couple searches. one was for "breaking bad". Took a while then timed out

congrats on the launch Jeremy! Just downloaded and will run it through the paces over the next couple days. Looks great so far tho!

Couple minor things. Vertical scrolling is kinda weird. Can only scroll vertically if scrolling is stopped. Also, tried to search for a show and it timed out.

Cheers, kg

I'm also fed up with big oil.

congrats guys!

most important. they are beautiful designs
