kentnguyen··on Konductor Workflow – The AI Orchestration Agent Framework for Every Dev
What is it? - Konductor is an AI Orchestration Workflow, a Markdown-first memory and coordination system for AI coding agents that lives entirely within your local repository.

Who is it for? - Software Dev, indie-hackers, and teams who use AI coding agents (like Gemini, Claude, Cursor, Trae) for real, multi-session development workflows.

Why use it? - AI agents suffer from "context amnesia." Konductor provides them with a persistent, self-updating memory of your project's rules, architecture, and state—so you never have to re-onboard your AI from scratch every session.

Zero code. Zero dependencies. Text-based workflow.

kentnguyen··on Show HN: We wrote a book to help data people build scalable analytics stacks
I've been looking for something like this for a while. Most of the time when I go online to search for resources on building analytics stack, most of the content is biased towards the vendor's preferred way of doing things. This looks like it will give me a high-level understanding to the why of the proposed approach.
kentnguyen··on Getting rid of burnout permanently
Exactly what I meant. Thank you.

While you don't have to agree completely with me, and holiday are always nice. But if you need to take a holiday, then perhaps you do have something on your mind that you want to get rid of.

kentnguyen··on Dear software people, mobile apps are just software
I do understand that mobile apps are just software, however the way you approach an embedded app is very different from a web site.

I'm not against your idea of viewing both the same, but in your post, there are many loose pointers, let me list a few here:

* You mention creating of RESTful API like it's a walk in the park.

* You take 2-5 days to create the flow of app and jump from mockups straight to testflight!?

* You have a visual designer to implement your app?!

kentnguyen··on Ask HN: Someone ripped off my app, is there any recourse with Apple?
I have witness a similar case where one Apple dev rip off another developer by repacking and then resubmit the same app. He submit a request to Apple and then a few days later that clone app got pulled.
kentnguyen··on How we made our iPad demo video on the cheap
This is what we mentioned in our post too. But before we realised, it's kind of too late. We shot the footage first and then tried to 'describe' the parts. We probably will have to do another one soon, given all the comments about the audio stuff.
kentnguyen··on How we made our iPad demo video on the cheap
this is great, especially the voice over service. Didn't know this exists on the cheap side. Any other video template source like videohive?
kentnguyen··on How we made our iPad demo video on the cheap
We didn't read the iPhone manual that's why. However, the one feature of the app we picked that is really useful is lock focus in one place and lock the exposure in another place (two different area). Also the app allows locking of White Balance as well. Is it possible to do this with native camera app?
kentnguyen··on How we made our iPad demo video on the cheap
this finger shows tap action! try it for your next screencast
kentnguyen··on How we made our iPad demo video on the cheap
for screencast on simulator, i suggest using this instead of the cursor. atleast making it more real http://wonderwarp.com/phonefinger/
kentnguyen··on How we made our iPad demo video on the cheap
i noticed your focus is constantly adjusting, what camera you used. This is the exact problem with iphone built-in camera app.

it's easy to record video in a dark room but requiring white background in how case is a different story.

anyway...it's a cat video!

kentnguyen··on The iOS Beginner blog series
checking now
kentnguyen··on The iOS Beginner blog series
i will. any other php cloud service you can think of. im a seasoned heroku user by the way. still nothing match it for php
kentnguyen··on The iOS Beginner blog series
It's back now. Fault PHPFog's cloud architecture
kentnguyen··on The iOS Beginner blog series
I did, right from beginning, but PHPFog's scaling architecture broke it badly. They don't deserve to be called 'cloud service'
kentnguyen··on PHP to Objective C, where are the parameters?
before I continue. Have you done any development in Objective C?
kentnguyen··on The iOS Beginner blog series
hey guys, thanks for visiting my sites. Due to unexpected traffic, it's currently under heavy load. So the response time could be slow. Be patient
kentnguyen··on PHP to Objective C, where are the parameters?
Thanks for pointing that out, nevertheless I guess using the similar concept to PHP/JS makes the user relate to the transition better.

I did read that Apple doc when I first starting out but it was overwhelming to me at that time and it backfired. I was more discourage to learn Objective C after seeing the doc.

kentnguyen··on The iOS Beginner blog series
haha thanks @dqminh i didnt post this coz its not really technical, i thought HN crowd would prefer the other post
kentnguyen··on PHP to Objective C, where are the parameters?
i guess im abit overboard trying to make my point. but you are right, no error, just warnings.
kentnguyen··on PHP to Objective C, where are the parameters?
thanks for the point. I have no background in Python so I didn't take Python into consideration. In my opinion, there are more people like me: coming from pure HTML/CSS/PHP background straight to Objective C
kentnguyen··on A replica of Path’s scroll widget
maybe for mobile web, not on desktop. it doesn't really make sense for big screen.
kentnguyen··on A replica of Path’s scroll widget
erh what do you mean? This is an iOS thread.
kentnguyen··on A replica of Path’s scroll widget
I'm not saying I am an absolutely a fanboy or anything. I'm not. But the innovation they brought to iOS is undeniable. Just like Twitter brought about the pull-to-refresh.

Maybe this scroller widget will be adopted widely, who knows.

kentnguyen··on A replica of Path’s scroll widget
Cool stuff. Great for people who don't want to mess with Date handling.
kentnguyen··on A replica of Path’s scroll widget
It is just for demonstration. My point is that you can do away with the header and still showing useful info for that section with this control.

Maybe something like alternate background color for sections and use the widget to display the section name.

kentnguyen··on Plink, a multiplayer HTML5 music game
How do you solve this?
kentnguyen··on Android apps management architecture flaw?
Might be not 'architecture' but I think that it's a flaw so fundamental which should not even be there in the first place.

A device having small internal memory is fine since it's expensive. But having a huge external memory and not able to use it for common tasks is just so wrong.

kentnguyen··on Tinychat’s 12-Way Group Video Chat App For Facebook
So they have finally found a way to do video chat on iPad 1!! (video at 01:13)
