I get that regulations make it more difficult for companies to enter a market, but if that means more protection for the user privacy (in this specific case), I cannot see how that could be a problem.
The fact that the EU might have more data protection than, say, the US, could also be an added value to a service. Case in point: protonmail. It's not EU-based, but they use Swiss privacy regulations as a selling point. Some people are willing to pay more for that.
Facebook (the website) is not rocket science. As for Google, replacing it could take time, but in the long run it's good to destroy their monopoly in Europe.
Assuming you know better than installing adware or installing random chrome extensions, Chrome is the most secure browser out there.
Btw, regarding extensions, before Mozilla switched to WebExtensions, you could do nasty stuff like extension-reuse attacks.
Assuming that devices don't have cryptographic issues, IoT security is still a mess. So yes firmwares are probably full of BO vulnerabilities. As for more recent techniques, I'm aware of some of them but I'm no expert so I can't comment properly :)
As for the inter-vehicle communication, if it proves to be effective in improving security, I guess it will eventually be mandatory or at least "encouraged" by making your insurance more expensive if you disable them.
I have been thinking about implementing a github-style website for tabs but it seems that the interest for tab sites is slowly fading away.
EDIT: I mean drawing geometrical stuff. Of course it's good for general drawing.
