For everyone else I'd recommend plugins such as Fluid Checkout which provides a similar style, but while leaving everything WooCommerce in place allowing for incredible flexibility

You built a Mastodon-compatible clone in Spring/Reactor.
The biggest thing is, is this a sustainable price? And what if I want to move elsewhere?
WordPress is still pretty popular because you can pack up and take your WordPress content and data anywhere (either built-in export/import; or something like All in One Migration)
(i have a discount/referral code if you want it - contact form on website)
If you want something popular, focus on getting people to use the platform. If you want more of a controllable platform, you'll need to build a platform with video transcoding, playback, stats etc.
You could always set up a PeerTube instance https://joinpeertube.org/ and/or customize the code behind that to your needs
How does a host say an email address? They might say john@reallycoolpodcast.co.uk
How does a host say how to find them on Mastodon (or ANY ActivityPub based platform)? They might say john@reallycoolpodcast.co.uk
At the very least, one of the core features of the platform is it (at least on web) highly encourages captions on images for accessibility :)
(I know there is the issue of where people she was following on Twitter may not move over etc, sadly)
WordPress/WooCommerce developer with a backend background (previously Django/Python stack), with specialism in custom work with payments, fulfillment, custom pricing etc. Happy to work with clients worldwide so long as communications is fluent English

More than anything get some decent hosting (i.e not EIG group/GoDaddy)
(If it's too much effort - more than happy to discuss further - website on profile)
Even something like getting some cheap hosting and spinning up a WordPress installation will work well (and is easily backed up, exported off-site etc).
Also, kinda surprisingly, Android has the capability to allow for different sources of data through different apps providing it. So they could have allowed for choice of weather service through other "apps" (even if those other apps provided no user interface). It's kinda sad how under-used Android can be tbh,
* Bugs in the implementation
* JSON looks like auto-translated XML without an XML
* Nothing about data types, values for an enum you could expect
On the flipside, Stripe's is one of the best. Although the only issue Ive seen is webhook signature code always uses their SDK which I don't always want to use, and webhooks can't be configured on a per-payment basis so if you have multiple systems on the same Stripe account, all of them get notified of everything (unlike other payment providers!)
It's incredibly shameful from this agency - they really owe a massive apology and should refund for the non-requested parts tbh.
