Deploying tear gas like they did in the Capitol here:

I saw a video yesterday of tear gas being used inside the capitol building but today I was only able to find videos of when it was used outside.

Here are videos from 2 locations where protestors fought the police and pushed past them. That is the opposite of letting them in. IMO I think the instances where they were "letting people in" were because the barriers had already been breached on other sides so there was no point holding lines where there would already be people in behind them.

I could pull up pictures of police kneeling with BLM this summer.

A police force of 2200, just for one building. Compare that to the Atlanta Police Department which has 1800 officers for a city of 500,000+ people and a size of 136 sq miles.

From Stanford v. Texas

Vivid in the memory of the newly independent Americans were those general warrants known as writs of assistance under which officers of the Crown had so bedeviled the colonists. The hated writs of assistance had given customs officials blanket authority to search where they pleased for goods imported in violation of the British tax laws. They were denounced by James Otis as "the worst instrument of arbitrary power, the most destructive of English liberty, and the fundamental principles of law, that ever was found in an English law book," because they placed "the liberty of every man in the hands of every petty officer." The historic occasion of that denunciation, in 1761 at Boston, has been characterized as "perhaps the most prominent event which inaugurated the resistance of the colonies to the oppressions of the mother country. 'Then and there,' said John Adams, 'then and there was the first scene of the first act of opposition to the arbitrary claims of Great Britain. Then and there the child Independence was born.'"

Roblox was released like 15 years ago. I don't think it is a fad. When users grow out of it there will be new young users to take their place.

> outside the Ads API

Presumably these Ad APIs would be for access to Google Ads. That would seem like an anti-trust issue.

Signal for Android is also distributed via their website.

Signal has had backup on Android for a long time. On iOS you can transfer from an old iPhone to a new one now. You scan an QR code on your old iPhone with your new iPhone to exchange a secret for transferring your messages to your new phone. I don't think you can do Andriod<->iOS. You can have sync between desktop, phone, and iPad. However you can not have messaged synced to two phones or an Android tablet yet.

From their repo:

DOSBox-X is a cross-platform DOS emulator based on the DOSBox project (www.dosbox.com).

Like DOSBox, it emulates a PC necessary for running many MS-DOS games and applications that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems. However, while the main focus of DOSBox is for running DOS games, DOSBox-X goes much further than this. Started as a fork of the DOSBox project, it retains compatibility with the wide base of DOS games and DOS gaming DOSBox was designed for. But it is also a platform for running DOS applications, including emulating the environments to run Windows 3.x, 9x and ME and software written for those versions of Windows.

Is this horizontal gene transfer?

I found that data plans that Sri Lanka Telecom offers here[0] with the "zoom package" that he was referring to here[1]. The "zoom package" that he mentioned doesn't seem to be any faster, it just adds additional data to the cap for Microsoft Teams/Zoom/Skype/etc. Their standard plans have also separate data caps for regular and off peak hours. Remember how cell phone plans used to be metered by the minute for talk and you had a different allocation for nights and weekends. Now even cheap prepaid plans in the US offer unlimited talk. When Sri Lankan infrastructure improves and their economy grows plans like this will be a thing of the past.

I think it is a term used in India. Basically you might have an "unlimited" data plan but after you cross the threshold your data rate gets slowed down. Most US Mobile carriers work this way.

Because you could buy 4 PinePhones for the cost of a Librem 5?

Why does the supply need to increase? Bitcoin can be subdivided to 100,000,000 times. If the value of one satoshi gets too high to be a practicable then a change can be introduced to make smaller units possible. This is like a stock split.

If BTC was $1 then all the BTC in the world wouldn't be enough to transfer $30,000,000.

I don't think the comparison to TSLA et al makes sense. Companies don't move their cash into stocks like that so it isn't something that was an alternative for this use case.

I don't think that is $57MM in one year. I think that is over the lifetime of the business.
