kekebo··on Show HN: Plandex – an AI coding engine for complex tasks
I can't speak to the differences of Openrouter to Together but the Openrouter endpoint should work as a drop-in replacement for OpenAI api calls after replacing the endpoint url and the value of $OPENAI_API_KEY. The model names may differ to other apis but everything else should work the same.

Just watch your phases a bit:

"Several studies of PSG-measured sleep report increased SWS [25, 75], decreased REM sleep [74, 75, 160], and decreased REM density (e.g., number of eye movements during REM sleep) [74, 75]. However, this pattern is not always replicated [150]."[0]

(SWS =slow wave sleep)

Out of interest, what are the issues you're facing? I'm having a great time with NixOS / Plasma 5

Feeding the output of a transcription service (e.g. https://youtubetranscript.com/?v=G4hL5Om4IJ4 ) into an llm for specific requests should be possible, likely in multiple steps to handle context limitations
kekebo··on Phind-70B: Closing the code quality gap with GPT-4 Turbo while running 4x faster
Is there any generalizable measure of how any of these models (or their client implementation) handle code(base) context that's sent along each editing request? For my use cases this seems to be as crucial a measure as the general coding responses per file / selection / request and where implementations like Cody[0], Cursor.sh[1] or aider.chat[2] stand out

ZSH + Zimfw + Powerlevel10k is probably the fastest "bling"-y shell I managed to put together. Would usually smoke Fish, but I haven't compared recently

kekebo··on Tell HN: Bash.org is no more
A historical archive of something should allow for robust, non-interactive ways to persist. Maybe there should be standards for this. In the mean time we can find gratitude to archive.org and similar services
kekebo··on Hubble sights a galaxy with 'forbidden' light
The type of comment I come to hn for. Thanks for clarifying
kekebo··on I have interviewed 100s of candidates for software engineering positions
I'm told that in the early days of the German branch of takeaway.com they would conduct interviews late and invite the interviewee to their after work beer and only hire the person if they thought they would enjoy future beers with them. Obviously only useful to somewhat determine personality but in my experience that is often a better predictor for a good hire than tech skills.

kekebo··on Linux has achieved a 3% desktop market share
WSL being a recent counter factor, as much as I don't enjoy Windows it got a lot more bearable for me since I can manage it through a Debian installation. Filesystem access, Windows program execution and running cmd.exe/powershell commands without having to open either of them removes some of the pain
kekebo··on Thunderbird 115
Anyone have an opinion on how Betterbird[0] compares to Thunderbird? I've installed it recently to circumvent a recent design change in Thunderbird but have a hard time assessing whether it's a worthwhile long-term alternative and a project worthy of support.

kekebo··on Stanford A.I. Courses
Seconded. It's a hands-on approach starting with implementing a pytorch-like api from the ground up with manual backprop up to implementing a simple transformer / gpt variant in actual pytorch.

From what I understand a key difference from then to now were short term stressors that appeared solvable by direct (group-) action as opposed to modern day long term stressors that can appear abstract and outside of our own radius of action, resulting in paralysis and psychological/physiological harm over long periods of time.

Don't have a source on hand though, may have come from a book by Robert Sapolsky
