1) search angellist jobs section for companies looking to hire their first iOS dev, or to have an MVP of their app made 2) contact all of them (this is a numbers game) by pitching yourself and how you have the exact skill set they need, include a portfolio, and mention your terms up front (hours per week/desired rate/no I don't work for sweat equity)
Even people looking to hire full timers are probably desperate enough to consider taking on a part timer, even as a temporary stop gap.
I prefer angellist jobs section to traditional freelance sites because you can avoid race to bottom bidding and avoid much of the competition. There are a lot of open minded people looking for high quality workers out there and are thus willing to pay a better hourly rate, but they avoid most freelancing sites and focus on full time because they don't think there is an alternative- be that alternative to them
Honestly, it sounds more like you're jealous of his compensation relative to yours. Has your compensation been adjusted since you started working there? If you're now doing the work of a co-founder, you should be compensated as such. If your role truly has escalated, they shouldn't take issue with you asking to have an adjustment made to your compensation in recognition of that.
Robotic sports could become big. But still, people identify with other people and we want to see something at stake. In e-sports you aren't physically at risk (aside from maybe your wrists), but your reputation certainly is. Colleges are fighting over football players far more than robotics competitors. Beyond financial or academic interest, I don't think competition of algorithms will ever hold peoples attention. The robots will still need human operators, because they are prone to error, which helps build the tension of watching live competition

While Bose is generally overpriced, these earbuds are the best I've found in the sub $100 range. The pair i bought has lasted 2 years despite my abusive use (shoving them in my pockets, tossing them around). And I like the sound almost as much as my overear Grados
Many side projects don't target existing large markets. Bootstrapping is a real thing that people do too, even in large, existing markets.
I doubt many if any VCs see as many applicants as YC, and they're finding every way to leverage that data advantage they can against the competition
Just curious- what's the game you're already doing?
