I wish that was true. I just started rewriting my project from C# to GDScript today so it can run on 32 bit ARM android devices.

Let's say I'm not a big fan of the language. Why the hell they decided to not implement normal for loops, was just googling how to iterate an array backwards and most people were like "just invert the array and iterate over it, bro"

They should have just used Typescript, it's a sweet spot between safety and productivity.

Huh, it didn't struck me as such. But maybe because I read it partially over the course of the day.

In any case the author DID make a lot of effort researching this and I can imagine it was not always pleasant hitting dead ends.

As someone unfamiliar with that project I looked up About Us on the main site. There wasn't a section that would just explain what the project was about.

I know this is more 'if you know you know' kind of hobby but it would still be nice to get a quick overview :)

Yep, I can imagine that.

That got me wondering, if the software company was from US and not Germany, how different would be the amount.

>Importantly, this should also be seen as precedence for private piracy and that people with thousands of movies on their harddrives naturally aren't liable for the sum of their retail price.

I don't think that holds. They installed all this software automatically, when you download movies you have to manually action each one. I mean, unless people are downloading movie packs from torrent sites these days or whatever?

That seems like a reasonable verdict. I wonder if the software company tried to argue that there would be additional costs associated if the deal really took place. Support, upgrades, etc.
