Haha, same here. A package was never delivered (though the tracking number said that it was). Home depot representative couldn't resolve the issue, and recommended to make a charge back. After I made a chargeback, HD contacted the bank with a supporting package (receipt, tracking number, etc) and reversed the charge back. At this point I decided not to waste any more time for $50 item and moved on.
There are several types of olive oils. Extra virgin (with lowest smoking point) is mostly used raw in salads and dressings, etc. Pure or refined(with highest smoking point) mostly used for cooking.
I've been drinking good espresso for many years (locally and freshly roasted beans, good grinder and espresso machine, etc), then moved to aeropress and been sticking with americano for the last year. Now, I'm trying not to drink any coffee for a month to check if it's the reason I'm getting extremely anxious lately.
I grew up in a metric system country, and moved to the US. Miles are not a problem, I'm driving 60mph, I see that I have to drive 120 miles it will take me 2 hours. A pound is roughly a half kilo. A pint is about half a liter. But what drives me mad is Fahrenheits after 15 years in the US I still struggle with it.
it's the other way :D, since i bought the house in 2015, my gains are paper gains (~200%), but my property taxes are real loses, since they've grown almost twice as well.
I have another idea to protect kids, let's say a kid is moving on a highway and it's speed according to a phone gps is 66mph in 60mph zone, wouldn't be it wise to notify the police about his parents braking a law and endangering a child? There are so many kids dying every year on our roads.[/s]
Suppose there is an ice cube with volume 1m^3 in a huge freezer, it melts when the freezer is off and then freezes back when the freezer turns on. Now the volume would be the same, the question is about the thickness. The thinner it gets, the faster it will melt/freeze leading to more variability in climate patterns. (speculation mode off)
Makes sense though, a lot of ice melting, water becoming cooler so the next winter you get more ice area with lower ice volume. Rinse and repeat until the whole ice sheet disappears.
