Anyway, just wanted to chime in since I don't have a lot of pinhead friend who would appreciate the months of work I put into restoring this pin: home made ramps, all new solenoids, complete tear down, all LEDs, new posts, new bumper rubbers, cleaned the playfield. Now I have electronic gremlins to sort out - stupid horizontal DMD issues.

On the downside, the Ecobee doesn't "feel" as high quality. The touchscreen shows finger prints, it has a plasticy feel and you don't have that nice orange or blue background color indicating whether it's cooling or heating (not a big deal). It also doesn't have the schedule learning system, but to be honest I would usually adjust the temps manually throughout the day anyway. It also doesn't have the automatic fan function after the AC has run, sort of an afterrun fan which helped continue to cool the house without the AC on.
In the end I wanted to try something different and so far I think it's met/exceeded my expectations. Just hope you have a C wire when you install! :)
Looks great by the way!
The problem should be pretty obvious. They click the "I forgot my email" button so we generate a new password, send it to the email account they registered with and it bounces back. User emails, we try to do a search for it, find it and discover random slight misspellings such as .con.
With verification at least the user is aware that they didn't enter their email properly.
Additionally we send messages about rewards, ones that users would want to receive.
I would assume a large majority of their clients don't read HN and would have no line of sight to do the same.
It's unfortunate that this happened, but I'll be looking for another host in the near future.
The author (Armin Ronacher) also authored Flask (Python web micro framework) and its template engine Jinja2. I've used Flask for a number of my most recent projects and really have enjoyed working with it.
Back to your scheduled broadcast!
Dear Investor, I want some money
Now I need to bust a nut and get things moved off ASAP.
I know there are a few resources online, but they don't seem to be kept completely up to date. Personally, I love reading about the startups and would prefer to have that information made available here in an organized fashion than having to read about them on TC or elsewhere.
Anyway, no apologies necessary for me! :)
Just out of curiosity, why did you choose MongoEngine? I worked with MongoEngine and MongoKit before deciding to use MongoKit because of the flexibility of working directly with the pymongo library. But I'm pretty new to the world of Python/Mongo. So any insights would be helpful to me.
Thanks!
I would have accepted a caveat like "...for people who don't know how to code, but want a CMS". Like the client who told me - and I quote - "I would love to have HTML5, but PHP is fine".
On a completely side note I noticed that Brendan Schaub had a CarWoo logo on his shorts at UFC121, so someone at CarWoo must like MMA. Anyway, I've always been curious about how much those fighters charge to have advertisers on their shorts...would you mind sharing how much it cost you? :)
Apologies to the moderator gods for the random and off topic question.
