Bootstrap's 'one-line-of-code-and-go' simplicity enabled me to make my first websites with no IT education on library computer in rural Australia [we didn't have one at home]. Today, I write code for a SF-based unicorn and whilst I don't use Bootstrap at work, I attribute my career to that CSS framework.
'Easier' tools enable more people to make use mankind's collective knowledge and change their lives for the better; I don't give a fuck if you're happy about it.
Isn't about time we had a grid container that fixed this?
Programming problems: - Calculating fibonacci numbers - Depth-first binary tree search - Turning a hashmap with multiple levels of embedded hashmaps inside-out - Handling API response data to create new objects - Creating a login form - Using media queries to make responsive pages - Determine if word is a palindrome - Using recursive functions
Knowing methods to reduce computation time and space with hashmaps and arrays is important. You will also be asked to state the computation time and space of your solutions
Framework-specific questions: - What is the difference between a component and a directive? (AngularJS) - What is the difference between a service and a directive? (AngularJS)
I'm sure there's more I've forgotten.
https://www.interviewcake.com/ and Hackerrank can prepare you for programming problems but outside of the giants you don't often get asked these.
As much as I like Tim I have to agree. My mom doesn't give a shit about controlling her data, much less know who has it or how it's being used.
HN, What would be a killer user-experience that Solid could facilitate with it's data-silo'ing?
=> Enable 3rd party apps that use Solid's login to offer hyper-targeted onboarding and pre-fill more account creation inputs
=> Enable background cross-app communication to app's you've given permission to in order to facilitate great user-experiences? Eg. Spotify tells your Ticketmaster app what musicians you listen to, Ticketmaster gives you notifications when said musicians are coming to your town
=> ???
Right now, just having user is data is only 'OK'; up-to-date user data is the real goal. People, particularly every marketer's favorite demographic, teenagers, change their tastes and interests drastically and frequently. Just knowing Jenny liked Justin Bieber when she was 12 is almost useless when trying to market to Jenny at age 15.
Into the future 'old' data will further reduce in value as app developers make up-to-date and other hyper-targeted data more available.
I can't tell what's worse: this post, or the fact that people are responding to it.
Feels bad man. Having access to a cracked version of Photoshop at 13 years old changed my life.
