No cache they are just dumb processors. I find it funny they thought they can take ps2 vu0/vu1 and make it a processor.
That works well to solve all the issues with public power ports.
Not to mention you can customize the popcorn better if you like to add seasoning.
Often it is a situation where multiple processes are working together and there is a way to trick a privileged process into modifying memory in a way it shouldn't.
To be honest there are only a few games I played during the ps3 era (bought it for the cell chip+linux and left it unpatched when they removed it from the firmware until the system was broken wide open), but the last of us was a great story and fun game.
I'm looking forward to a future where we use web components.
Maybe it was due to how simple the example was, but having to click back many times based on how many times a user used the interface is just bad design.
They fix is to reboot the phone.
I cannot trust it for critical alarms, so a simple device by the bed is required again.
They are fragile systems that one doesn't really want to risk production environments on in my opinion.
The system would be both long and short the same contract and take profit at a given interval on both sides. When they took a profit, they would reopen a trade on the same side.
Ultimately it was just a mean reversion strategy where one would not close out their losses. So the profit was linear while the losses often became geometric until the time the market came back to where they started the grid.
If you just want to buy both sides and never close either trade, there is no profit just a loss of spread/commission on both legs.
Most of the people who did it looked at their account balance rather than NAV, so they were mostly just abusing leverage until a margin call.
Edit: To be fair, some grids were smarter in their allocation and weighted to be positive to the carry, so at least they would collect interest everyday when the contracts swapped.
I find youtube/twitch have the same problems as the CPM industry. If you punish the provider of content for negative viewer action you provide a means for competition to cheaply force the content creator out of the market.
This is why twitch doesn't punish view botting, as any viewer could spend $5 to shut down a $50k/day stream.
If youtube really does use a guilty until proven innocent method then they are just punishing honest content creators that don't understand the dynamics of online media.
A person who copies a specific work and does not distribute it is not breaking the law as far as I am aware.
That is why I'd be interested in seeing what laws have been broken.
As far as I am aware, if they are not distributing their changes, there is no copyright violation.
I'd be interested to see what laws they are violating.
For people who are writing novel software it can be better to always avoid reading patents, that way they can honestly state they haven't read a specific patent.
If more sites adopt serving fake data to headless chrome, people will just return to the old xvfb workflow for those sites, and use headless for everything else.
Could even use a small set of xvfb scrapers to verify the results, and automate detection of false data.
That is for stocks, with options the margin call can grow to a value quickly where a retail investor cannot afford it ever.
Edit: Looking at td margin schedule shows they'll require 20% in a reg-t account, so only 5 to 1 leverage at least. Still can risk $5k and owe 20k to your broker.
The products so far have been a failure.
Margin only handles the expected volatility of an instrument, not the tail risk.
Chrome and Firefox are already working on solutions as you cannot exploit the JIT if it generates code that ruins your timing as far as I'm aware.
So that solves the problem for most people, but all other environments that allow execution of untrusted code also need to be updated.
So some financial products where they will always drift to zero are fine, but investments in companies that have a chance to profit aren't allowed.
Why should a customer pay to add value to comcast? They aren't getting a discount if they enable the service.
I don't use comcast so I do not personally know if they charge for excessive data usage, but I know cox does.
Besides the point of potential cost, why should a user who is paying for the service subsidize comcast. They are not getting a discount for offering the wifi to customers.
