juanani··on UN doc: military drones may have autonomously ‘hunted down’ and attacked troops [pdf]
So because people kill people, machines should be allowed to kill people? not even logical, I can see an argument being valid as in why shouldn't machines kill other machines. why do you think machines should be allowed to kill people?
juanani··on Facebook to take action against users repeatedly sharing misinformation
Can't believe the time we live in, people putting themselves under willful surveillance and seriously cheering their own censorship. I gotta get off the internet, what a craphole.
juanani··on Timeline: How the Wuhan lab-leak theory suddenly became credible
By the same way Iraq had WMDs. Spam daily articles with 'expert sources' that ride on your viewers emotional states. It's a 'Chinese' virus the same way it was a 'Spanish' flu a century ago. You keep spamming us with finger pointing though, we will fall for it eventually. What's pathetic is that it works.
juanani··on Intelligence on Sick Staff at Wuhan Lab Fuels Debate on Covid-19 Origin
Keyword in the title of the article: Intelligence. Try to recall the last time they said something that wasn't proven fake to push agendas. I will be here waiting.
juanani··on Belarus 'diverts Ryanair flight to arrest journalist', opposition says
It seems there is a positive correlation with intelligence and gullibility. I mean, you're so smart that you can program and count monies, this is because you are likely a modern day god which no one has figured out yet, and no mortal can fool your godly brain powers.

Also, people everywhere on television seem to agree with your views, confirms your godlike logical thinking powers. All hail moneys!

juanani··on Belarus 'diverts Ryanair flight to arrest journalist', opposition says
Cannot be allowed to stand by whom? Everyone else is too busy silencing proper journalists, in what world are we where you actually think there is a country that stands for 'free speech'? Speech that's against the status quo gets silenced, just cus you buy everything the MSM sells doesn't mean the rest of the world has to. People need to travel(or explore different perspectives if possible) more or at least stop spreading ignorance.
juanani··on 50B birds live on Earth, new study finds
It sounds like a reflection of current emotion/mood to me. Also it is something I'd think about if I was a mercenary aiming down at some innocents. 'theyre just going to suffer, nature is so cruel, *yawn BANG'.

It's fun to get this viewpoint on the same thread where the human animal seems convinced it is special. The greediest animal, we are special. We take joy in the misery of others, that's gotta be unique.

juanani··on Human Antibodies Target Many Parts of Coronavirus Spike Protein
I'd argue that the billions already sunk are a great incentive to keep the publishings to a minimum, but I'm just a crackpot so nvm..
juanani··on Texas gov knew of natural gas shortages days before blackout, blamed wind anyway
I blame r/all for such 'original' opinions. People in China are less brainwashed than this. Who's free?
juanani··on Vaccinated Americans now may go without masks in most places, the CDC said
I think the criticism is valid, especially from its own citizens. What I found most bizarre is how kids are trained/required/mandated to pledge allegiance to the flag EVERY day without even knowing what they are actually doing. 30minutes later as the lesson unfolds we hear of how atrocious those Nazi Germans were- how brainwashed the Japs were, condemning them as animals unworthy of life. You question it for a sec but 'Praise the Supreme Leader' comes on over the speakers so you jump again with your hand across the heart and join the rest of the group with Praise.
juanani··on US officials confirm 130 incidents of mysterious Havana syndrome brain injury
This would be a more interesting read if they gave out some details of where they were stationed. Sounds like we know the cause(equipment malfunction) but it is too good of an opportunity to pass up on smearing more Russia/China bad. Interesting thing this article mentions China and Cuba, previous one had officials from DC as well. But hey I'm probably a shill because I dont believe these cheap tactics anymore. What sucks is they cant get the trust back even if these are legitimate attacks. You've made your bed.
juanani··on EMA Official Links AstraZeneca Vaccine and Thrombosis
Out of the two people I know who got this jab, one is with a swollen thigh. I wonder how much damage control the media/ vaccine lobby is on right now. I can imagine spinning red lights and the sounds of a siren in the distance. Gotta work for that money.

Blind exceptionalism is required to get by in the West. I can't see good reasons for it, Hollywood plays the fiddle.
juanani··on Tesla cars can be bought in Bitcoin
Since Bitcoin is mainly only used for crime, does that mean that Tesla is enabling criminal movement? Didn't someone get indicted recently for providing a service that was used by criminals? Let's get them, DoJ!
juanani··on AstraZeneca may have provided incomplete efficacy data NIAID
>Wow, I’d never heard of the Pfizer case.

From the Wiki article

>Pfizer subsequently settled the case out of court with a $75 million settlement that was subject to a confidentiality clause.

Does the confidentiality clause also suppress media or is that a separate payment to whoever is putting their nose into it? I'm curious how these stories get out, and are there others that don't ever reach Wiki articles?

juanani··on Whales in 19th century shared information about ship attacks
Do you consider Amish people to live in communes? I wasn't aware they all failed. Or is only the failed ones that end up a commune in your dictionary?

This axe you're grinding is getting hella sharp. Can't believe you failed to bring out the 'millions of deaths' because of communes this time.

>China imprisoning our citizens as proxy conflict with the US

Was that retaliatory for Canada imprisoning a Chinese citizen in the name of US sanctions against Iran? I am curious which came first since I haven't followed it closely.(no justifying, just wondering why this is the example you brought up)

juanani··on Chip-starved automakers shudder at Renesas plant's 1-month halt
Everyone chimed in that electronics are so easy to repair(ofc its HN). Whoever was offering money for the truck obviously knew how to repair machinery but not electronica. So they prefer what they know to repair, lets bash their lack of knowledge?

We could also try to, hm, make electronics easier to repair by providing an fn manual and not being so anti-repair as an industry. But how are we ever going to be as rich as Apple and Tesla if we started selling actual products and not just onboarding to a crappy service?

This place needs a name change, VC news - definitely more representative of its readership.

juanani··on Amazon Keeps Getting Sued for Paying Drivers Less Than Minimum Wage
I had the same thing in mind when I ordered a gift recently, thought I'd see how Newegg matches up. I got my package 2 days later, the whole order had Amazon shipping slips/boxes, delivered by Amazon.

juanani··on Greenwald: The Leading Activists for Online Censorship Are Corporate Journalists
I think everyone turned on him because he spoke the nastiest of truths at the most inconvenient time (week before elections). And lo and behold our political apparatus swiped their power back, and did not allow anyone to question anything. Even a top journalist with years of good work can be smeared in front of the public unquestioningly. And that doesn't mean squat since orange man baaad - exactly what the media ingrained in the masses(yes you included) for the past four years. Nation of free thinkers can't focus for shit.
juanani··on DC Report — “Clear evidence” China is committing genocide against Uyghurs
Same can be said to your statement about the people in the middle east we have yet to stop bombing. I don't think growing that list is a good solution, but for a nation whose main export is 'defence' weapons, it should be obvious why it's ever-growing.
juanani··on Someone is hacking the hackers
The government, in a time of war, will pull all sorts of nasty shenanigans. Thankfully, we've been at war for a while so.. dont be traitors now.

Our Pentagon certainly doesn't change tactics every new president but hey you got this nice reality going for you where you think one person is in charge of the whole country, I am over here still waiting for a clear picture of Sasquatch. Sucks to see but it's what happens when our voters only get their news from Elite Western MSM. No sarcasm on the elite part, just look at this fairy tale world we got.
juanani··on Functioning iPhone returned to owner after six months at bottom of lake
It can be waterproof sealed without the glue. I used my Kyocera Torque (rugged) until I couldn't update it's OS. (needed updated software for work) Changed it's battery once, you could use a nickel (or a fingernail) to unlock its backside and pry it open with your fingers. Battery slipped right off. Waterproof and tougher than a Nokia. I still use it as a hammer.

I am not sure the glue is that necessary for a waterproof seal, hence the crap.

juanani··on Bats and the Origin of Outbreaks
Did I miss the /s tag? This cheerleading needs to calm down a bit, I'm not sure this bashathon should be used to tighten our own wools. Different systems can both be bad.

Let's relax with flexing our elite 'Western accountability'. It's all talk.

juanani··on Puppy Assistant: the smart home for my dog
Great idea for a self defence class. I am an amateur in dog fights though so don't go starting fights with dogs just based on this story/method.

If I ever am unfortunate to do it again, I might try some loud, strict voice commands to try to override the attack mode(you get a few seconds of conversation between growl/stare and launch).

juanani··on Puppy Assistant: the smart home for my dog
Not OP, but never turn your back and run - to a growling dog. I was once stuck with an unfriendly pitbull in a high fenced backyard(the dog's backyard). Once it is staring and growling at you, try to slowly back out of its territory. You will definitely find it hard to take your eyes off it.

Stand your ground in full posture, get ready for it to launch at you. Dodge hard left or hard right while throwing your hands infront of you (only if you have thick sleeves), I luckily had a thick winter coat and it nibbed the sleeve as I jumped hard left (Kind of like the matadors). It recovered and got back to the low growl staring contest before launching again.

It also matters where you position yourself, after it launches their inertia takes them some time to recover which gives you time to get closer to your exit. Just a few more of these and you are on your way out of trouble.

The owner luckily came out after it's second launch at me. It launched again at our hands when I tried to shake the owners hand to show I am friendly (not a great idea once they think you aren't). He keeps telling all my friends I am afraid of dogs..

The dog was calm and peaceful when I had entered the yard, I made the mistake of pulling my hoody over my head, it did not recognize me as the same person after that. Don't change your appearance especially when on foreign territory.

Looking back, the thought of fighting it physically never crossed my mind - I got tense and recognized I shouldn't show fear or my back. Once I figured I could survive dodging side to side, it was a relief.

TLDR - Dont turn your back, get ready to dodge and move as many times as it takes, also avoid changing appearance on foreign dog territory.
