Having lived in Norway and Finland, I’d say it would be very likely that you would get your items back. And if there would be contact details, someone would have most likely tried to call you before the few hours would be up. Would more or less the same in actual public spaces as well.
Not exactly sure, but I think the original version of the covid vaccine has been good enough for the mutations and there has not been need for modified version.
Well, currently the French are buildin a new nuclear power plant in Finland. Construction started 2005 and it was supposed to be ready in 2009… they are still building it and _maybe_ next year it finally will be connected to the grid. So 17 years give or take.
At least from Risto Siilasmaa tells a different story in his book. He was in the Nokia board in the last good years and then lead the effort to turn things around. If I remember correctly, he writes in his book that at the point of sale to Microsoft, Nokia was already very close to go under. In Finland, it is generally seen that the deal with Microsoft was a complete steal from Nokia, they got much more than the value was at that point and Microsoft even agreed to loan them hundreds of millions to buy full control in Nokia-Siemens networks.
Thank you all for the year! I love HN and many times don't even visit the linked site as the discussion gives me so much information and insight. Thank you for the high quality place this still is.
Same here, I have owned iPads years and I still don't get split screen to work without some trial and error every time I use it. Obviously not that often, but wasn't Apple stuff supposed to be easy to use!?
My PXC 450 still going strong as well, I think 7 years now. I have replaced the cushions once and will have to do it the second time soon, but will most likely continue using these at least for some years as they just don't seem to break. I have looked into wireless options, but so far I haven't really seen enough benefit to switch. And my worry is that once I switch, I need to get new ones every second year do to headphones just breaking or battery dying. I really don't want to do that, for many obvious reasons. I have also a lot of good higher end headphones that so far I have been able to fix every single obe with manufacturer spare parts when they wore down.
For me the 13.1.2 update broke all networking on my ipad Air 2. Mobile, WiFi and Bluetooth all not functioning and looks like it is reasonably common issue as well. Only way to get it working again looks to be a factory reset from iTunes. It just works, I guess...
