jtolly710··on Setting Up AI Agents
I'm finding you can get a decent amount of the way there with an n8n-based solution

Some YT resources that I've been following lately, and as an n8n user for years, I'm rapidly gaining superpowers

jtolly710··on Google's new self-installed Android app warns you about nude images in Messages
this should be a bigger and angrier thread
jtolly710··on Ask HN: Can you recommend a PCB designer?
Hey, if it helps, We had a need for a consumer-focused product based on the ESP32 that I work with every day, and can vouch for DeepSeaDev. Were able to do the work and provide the IP.
jtolly710··on Ask HN: How can I learn about manufacturing?
Great suggestion, MIT also has a deep-dive into Additive Manufacturing, which are all different miniature factories. https://learn-xpro.mit.edu/additive-manufacturing. 3D printing really helped me make the leap from virtual --> physical products.
jtolly710··on Ask HN: Any hardware startups here?
Small company - but we've have been building tools for Guitarists, centered around our LED display system. https://www.fretzealot.com

Personally in charge of hardware, firmware, and too many of the things behind the scenes. About to crowdfund our V2 with hugely improved hardware and LEDs.

Covid was fun with MCU shortages and years lead time, so now that we've survived that things are looking brighter.

Some people like it just for the light shows, but we get lots of great feedback across the board.

Been rewarding to build a tool that I actually get to use and benefit from on more-or-less a daily basis.

jtolly710··on Why does Linux have so much trouble sleeping and waking?
Hey I'm also running a GS65 (First Ubuntu - now PopOs), the Wifi is frustrating, but I found double-tapping (2x [FN+F10]) in quick succession would bring the radios back up.

Have you ever gotten the native HDMI port to work in linux?

jtolly710··on Ask HN: What do you do with your Raspberry Pi?
Hopefully including HTTP Error 418 too!
jtolly710··on [dead]
Haha, thanks for the link!
jtolly710··on Ask HN: Is CouchDB dead?
I started working with CouchDB a few years ago, and found it really nifty, but in our current startup, we find that the couchbase community edition suits our needs well, and the sync gateway is great for managing users and delegating permissions
