jruz··on Prevent cognitive debt by manually retyping LLM-generated code
What I did is kinda similar, I downgraded to $20 plan and just ask questions and almost never let it write the code, and if I can I use the web ui like the good old days and not spend my CLI tokens.
jruz··on Feds Killed Polestar and Spared Volvo
But having my Tesla made in Europe phone the US is totally fine right?
jruz··on Can China build its own ASML?
I love to see China evolving so fast, the only producers bringing prices down.
jruz··on Surprise, Pay $1000
I’m running my own VPS with Woodpecker, paying for someone to do it for you seems absurd to me.
jruz··on Claude Opus 4.8
Don’t even bother checking this minor PR bumps, it’s all a show, degradation then bump to the previous state.

Call me when 5 drops I’ll leave this circus.

jruz··on Claude Opus 4.8
Absolutely that’s why they’re rushing to IPO now to squeeze the last drop of the bubble they know this is a dead end.
jruz··on Omarchy Is Not A Distro
If this is the price to pay for adoption I’m ok with it.
jruz··on Where the goblins came from
Is this Xi Jinping with us in the room right now?
jruz··on An update on recent Claude Code quality reports
Too late bro, switched to Codex I’m done with your bullshit.
jruz··on Claude Opus 4.7
Everyone is using AI, so nothing to be ashamed about. Is better to be open about it and add a disclaimer about how it was used.

Even if it's vibe coded as long as you are open about it there's nothing wrong, it's open source and free if someone doesn't like it can just go write it themselves.

jruz··on Trusted access for the next era of cyber defense
That’s the whole point of this variant of the model, it won’t have those guardrails.
jruz··on 40% of lost calories globally are from beef, needing 33 cal of feed per 1 cal
And is not even taking water consumption into account.

Or the annoying cowbells :)

jruz··on Issue: Claude Code is unusable for complex engineering tasks with Feb updates
This is last month I'm on the Max plan is just not worth it anymore, $20 Codex and writing myself to keep my brain functioning is my sweetspot.

This people are not your friends, they rot your brain.

jruz··on A Claude Code skill that makes Claude talk like a caveman, cutting token use
only you auto-compact. auto-compact bad
jruz··on Tell HN: Anthropic no longer allowing Claude Code subscriptions to use OpenClaw
-p gets penalized is not worth using it.

It’s shame they do all this sketchy stuff, I switched to Codex I have enough of their bs.

jruz··on The Claude Code Source Leak: fake tools, frustration regexes, undercover mode
I think this is just the beginning so people are apprehensive, rightfully so, at this stage. I agree with you that AI use should be disclosed but using the commit message as a billboard for Anthropic hell no. Go put an add on the free tier.
jruz··on I decompiled the White House's new app
Is this a surprise to anyone?
jruz··on Migrating to the EU
Ecosia is just Google/Bing depending on location.

Qwant is the way to go

jruz··on OpenCode – Open source AI coding agent
yeah I agree is way too buggy, nice tho and I appreciate the effort but really feels sloppy
jruz··on I'm OK being left behind, thanks
Have fun writing code yourself /s
jruz··on Office.eu launches as Europe's sovereign office platform
Pretty scammy name and no info on who’s behind it.
jruz··on Please Do Not A/B Test My Workflow
I use stable and is the same, can't wait for Codex to offer a $100 plan I would switch in an instant
jruz··on We might all be AI engineers now
I find really sad how people are so stubborn to dismiss AI as a slop generator. I completely agree with the author, once you spend the time building a good enough harness oh boy you start getting those sweet gains, but it takes a lot of time and effort but is absolutely worth it.
jruz··on MacBook Air with M5
Not on the latest but I’m happily running Asahi NixOS
jruz··on Gentoo on Codeberg
I would say started with Zig.

For us Europeans has more to do with being local that reliability or copilot.

jruz··on GitHub is down again
I left for codeberg.org and my own ci runner with woodpecker. Soooo much faster than github
jruz··on Claude’s C Compiler vs. GCC
Great article but you have to keep in mind that it was pure marketing, the real interesting question is to pass the same benchmark to CC an ask it to optimize in a loop, and see how long it takes for it to come up with something decent.

That’s the whole promise to reach AGI that it will be able to improve itself.

I think Anthropic ruined this by releasing it too early would have been way more fun to have seen a live website where you can see it iterating and the progress is making.

jruz··on OpenClaw is changing my life
I admire the people that can live happily in the ignorance of what’s under the hood, in this case not even under the layer of claude code because that was too much aparently so people are now putting openclaw+telegram on top of that.

And me ruining my day fighting with a million hooks, specs and custom linters micromanaging Claude Code in the pursuit of beautiful code.

jruz··on Paul Hegarty's updated CS193p SwiftUI course released by Stanford
Wow man been waiting for this to be updated for ages!
jruz··on Ask HN: Why isn't having two or three careers the norm?
