Came here to note this as well. I think the lab leak theory is becoming more acceptable.

This shows just how low the salaries are in Germany. The salaries listed here, at 50k€/annual, were what I was making in 2012, when I entered Germany.

As a former astronomer, this was a great post. (The website can use some post-90s styling however :> )

Wow! We also had some ray tracing software, and at one point, my job was to deliver the star (and galaxy) catalogs to the Google office in Seattle. If you worked with the Image Simulation team at U. of Washington in Seattle, then our paths almost crossed, and we might've been on conference calls together.

You worked on the design? That is interesting. I worked on the simulating the LSST , back in 2008 to 2010. The goal of which was to test the data reduction software. We were on the Image Simulation team.

It is surreal to see LSST/Rubin finally get first light.

Even more interesting to see who is still working on LSST, and who is not.

Fritz Zwicky discovered Dark Matter. Rubin thought she discovered Dark Matter, because she wasn't aware of Zwicky's paper written in German many years before Rubin's paper.

edit: I have a PhD in Astronomy, with a focus on Dark Matter, and I measured rotation curves of galaxies myself.

Does anybody have a source (CJ or traditional) that is unbiased?

It seems that everything from mass media to small tiktokers are so biased, I can't believe anything they say.

I was just laid off due to the virus. So yes, be careful.

That is the problem with "corona panic", it causes other people to panic and behave irrationally

jpizagno··on The state of the restaurant industry
"Corona panic isn’t going to kill more people than the virus"

I wish I could bet you on that. I could get rich fast

jpizagno··on The state of the restaurant industry
Related to the restaurant industry, Yelp is laying people off due to the corona virus. My contract with the Yelp has been withdrawn.

This "corona panic" will kill more people than the virus itself.

Does this website not look a little suspicious ?

It is hard to find an actual name of a person behind this site. When I go to faq -> "Who .." there is another company called "Dadax" listed, but no link. odd

I am asking because people have sent me other suspicious sites over the last few weeks (wuflu.live).

I am not denying the virus, just questioning things on the internet.
