joshrice··on We still don't really know how bicycles work
> If gyroscopes don't stabilize, then why are they used on monorail trains etc?

They do, it's just the bicycle's wheels aren't heavy enough to provide enough force to really make that much of a difference.

joshrice··on Unsolicited Redesigns (Khoi Vinh responds to NYTimes redesign)
"But if I'm not on the front page, above the fold, no one will (read my articles | (see|buy) ads)!"

It's a constant battle between the ad department and the content makers, and then between the content makers themselves.

joshrice··on Can anyone help me with a php problem?
You have some answers over there now - apache isn't configured correctly or php isn't installed. If you can't get it figured out, use XAMPP http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html. It'll do everything for you
